Well all the other answers are not correct - not exactly. Your income could be counted as "new mate income" and this is done only in some states and under certain circmstances. It bolsters his income only in the sense that another financial contribution is coming into the household. It counts in a limited fashion. Go to www.divorcehq.com and www.divorcesource.com
www.findlaw.com
www.nolopress.com
and check if that appplies to your State.

In any event you will not have to pay, but his income may count as a little more than the ex's because yours is noted on the calculation.

If she has a new mate, the same mayapply to her too.

This is the one time you need to call a local lawyer in your area of this (worth the cost). Some states have differnt laws on this, you should know the answer. Some states make the household income of both of you as together, if he becomes unemployed and your still working your income will be garnished for that child support. The ex-wife could ask for additional monies since the income has increased since the divorce, with both your incomes in that household.

All I know is that when I had to set up child support, my lawyer needed verfication of my ex's income AND mine....
And in many states, child support is calculated based on both parties' incomes, day care and health care costs, and occasionally other expenses.
So, be careful and FIND OUT in your state!

nope his kids are not your responsibility, but if you have anthing like bank accounts.properity, etc etc and its in his name or both yes they can take that if he is behind on child support and they take your income tax return if you file together. So be careful of the things you put ini his name and also things you put in each others names. And just try and make sure he keeps up his child support.

No.
Even if the two of you marry, you will not have to pay a cent of his child support at all. Remember, he was the sperm provider, you had no part in creating that baby.
