Someone asked recently about being in your 40s and the husband has just given up on sex. I went through the same thing, and it's truly a heartache. Actually, our sex life had never been that great. Infrequent, he would not initiate it much even as newlyweds, and sort of frequent e.d. even from younger ages. When he was 48 and I was 44, he basically decided our sex life was over, period, although that was not what I wanted. Nothing worked to improve his interest in me. He used porn instead. He refused to use Viagra (got some at my request, never used it, with me anyway -- doctor told us he did not really need it anyway -- husb. said "I hate to take it and waste [the] $6 [it costs per pill] if you wouldn't be in the mood. And it's too hard to time it on an empty stomach but at a decent hour." Yeah, the way our sex life was, that'd have been a whopping $6 a month, how insulting.

It turned out he's gay and just didn't want a woman. Wish he'd admitted it to me before 20 yrs marr. & 5 kids

I am finally going to get to move my son out of state his dad agreed as long as he does not have to pay child support.So I got that done and now I am only taking a few of his things and a few of mine my son is sad because we are like leaving almost everything.But that is all he is sad about. so how do I get him to understand it is only material things. He is 11 yrs old.

I really like coming home after working and changing into something more comfortable but my fiance would rather me stay in my other clothes until later during the evening because he likes to see me dressed up. I understand and I told him we could compromise and I would do it half of the time. I wear sandals and flip flops a lot and he has a foot fetish and does not like that I wear them. He would rather me wear shoes so my feet will be sweaty when he takes my shoes off. I also told him I would leave my shoes on half of the time when I come home even though I would rather just get more comfortable. These issues have been a problem for quite a while, and I feel that he does not appreciate that I try to look nice for him, but I still would like to be comfortable at times. He never really sees me in just tee shirts and jeans or shorts. I am usually wearing slacks or skirts. Any advice on how to resolve this issue between the both of us?

I have a great relationship and the topic of marriage may be a deal breaker for us. I think that marriage is a statement that is sacred and says "I love and commit myself fully to this person". I made a decision a long time ago not to "play house". I told my man from the beginning that I would not date him perpetually. He gives me the age old argument of "it's just a piece of paper". I don't buy that one and I am curious about how other people feel.

Yesterday, I asked a straight question about a husband and wife. But it turned out like the world exploded with anger. I received more than 50 answers from virtually everywhere and barring few everybody labelled me as 'rapist'. Actually, I am still a college going student....not yet married. I was just curious because a couple of days ago I read a novel and the frustrated unemployed husband in plot wanted to have sex with his wife and despite her protest, made it. Next morning she leaves him as she too feels she was raped in a way....but that cruel fellow feels nothing, not even a guilt. So, just to have opinion on this situation, I innocently put a question in Yahoo Que. and asked the opinion. But unfortunately everyone assumed me as 'that' husband, which is totally wrong. So whoever answered me with my previous question, please wipe out that bad notion and PLEASE let me take a fresh breath, as I am literary chocking with mistake in putting that specifific question. Please.

My husband choose his career rather than stay home and work close to our place. He likes what he's doing now. Work but travel all the time.He don't mind about our relation as long we can pay the bills and all the family needs. I always feel lonely. It's not all abouit money all the time.

I met him 6 1/2 yrs ago. I knew he had 5 children, that he loved beer and he smoked everyday. Ok.. Two years ago the weed wasnt enough so he started lacing it with cocaine. Major problems behind that. He has 5 children (from the same woman) and we get them alot. That never was a problem. I actually stayed in this longer because of them. They gave me what he didnt. One day I woke up and asked myself, "what the hell are you doing?" His children are coming to me for things and they wont even ask him. I realize that things cant be the way they were. the biggest problem I have right now is the fact that he has to get high everynight. I dont smoke or drink so we dont party together. I've been telling him I am about done and he doesnt get it.I have a 12 yr old and a 15 yr old now and its not fair to keep exposing them to this kind of life I tried everything and he wont change I used to think the more I did the happier he would be .no it was the more he expected is it time 2 say goodbye?

If you had a baby at the age of 16 and the father (your first) ended up in prison. Years go by and you have another child by a different guy. More years go by and you get married. You have more children. But even through it all, you never lose the feelings for the first guy. You are now married, and the other guy is soon to be released. He knows that you are married with other children and doesnt care. He doesnt want to break up your marriage but he has acknowledged your feelings and let youu know his.

Would you try to keep your marriage or would you leave a semi-unhappy marriage to pursue your first love?

Okay, I am curious. I am in my late 20's and my fiancee and I have been together for 7 years. We have a freind that is really cool and such. Anyways we have a very healthy relationship and my bf wants to please me by having them both in bed with me. We are both straight, no kids, etc. Both successful in careers. He said all bad things he did or all his failure in life was/is/will due to me. He blamd me for everything, home and work. I tolerate him because I do not want my son to lose a family and father. My father died when I was very young, so I know the life without a father.

what is you did not sleep in the same bedroom as your wife for the past 6 years. She never wanted to be intamate. I tried the weekly date thing. No luck, she wanted to be home by 8. I tried the flowers and gift thing. no luck. I started to really develop an esteem issue. I just could not get her to tell me what I needed to do.
