Friends - October 2007

I've been pretty mad at my friend lately. She cusses a lot and doesn't talk very nice. Anyway, she got one of my other friends in a lot of trouble, and I'm really mad at her now. She then asked me etoday if I was mad at her. What should I do, since I don't want to say, "You're not a nice person to be cussing a lot and I don't like that way you talk?"?

She created a character that became really popular at a roleplaying forum and now she wants to leave the forum because the staff isn't that great. However the admin said they are going to turn her character (that was completely made up by her) over to another member. My friend doesn't find this fair and is wondering if she could do anything about it

There is a kid that thought he was included in a plan I had today. I talked to him for a tiny bit on Monday, and nothing was definite, no plans were even made with him. Then, when I was out at this event (more than two people were there, by the way), apparently he called to say "Where's _____? He didn't come to get me! Where is he?" He thought he was coming, but he really wasn't I would have let him come, but he didn't even show up at the meeting place; any communication would have gotten him invited to the event. I have to call him back, so what should I say? (He didn't talk to me about the event at all except that time on Monday.)

johnathon b: my last name is mcdonald so he used to call me annslea getsfat mcdonald. i didnt know that until today. he used to be really mean to me. we haven't talked in about 2 years! he just came up to me in PE and said hey annslea. i said hello. i guess i sounded kinda mean or something because he said why do you hate me?and i said i dont. he said is it because i used to call you annslea getfat mcdonald? and i said i didn't know you called me that!and he goes well im really really sorry, i didnt mean ANYTHING mean that ive ever said to you! and i smiled and then the ball his friend threw went behind my bff and they are good friends so they hugged and then he gave me a weird look and walked away.it was so weird!

These girls might literally kill me.?
in one of my classes (10th grade) there are 6 mexican students and the rest american. the mexicans are all girls and only talk to eachother most of the time in spanish. they're very loud and dont listen to the directions the teacher gives them. they pretty much like to ignore her. the teacher does force them to do work though. the teacher is way too sweet and innocent. anyway, there's this other girl in my class who's american but is fluent in spanish. she told us the other day what the mexican girls have been talking about. she said that they were saying really rude things about some of the people in my class. like, i hate those girls, they are total bitches, her hair looks like ****, ect. then here's the part that scares me. they siad they wanted to stab this one one girl in the class. im afraid they're going to like bring a gun and shoot us or something. the teaches know about al this..i think but she cant kick them out. we had a talk about respect today. help me! im so scared!!:(

Me and my cousin have always been like best friends.We are the same age. I moved over the summer so now i go to his school. When i got to his middle school when school began i became very popular.He's kinda unpopular and he only has maybe 10 friends.None of his friends are girls. He's really mean to a lot of people. I think he is jealous cause i made the basketball team and he didn't also.Also i am 6'1" and i'm only 13.He hardly ever talks to me and when he does he is mean and tries to put me down. He has very low confiedence.I have VERY high confiedence. I am writing a book and make A's and B's.I participate in play's while he cuts his bed into pieces.

where do i start?..
there's this guy, we've been friends since middle school
and he used to always flirt with me in the 8th grade. When we got to high school, we are even better friends. I had a crush on him, but then i overcame it and i SWEAR i have no feelings for him. Ok, so I have this friend. Let's call her Star. =]
I also have another friend, let's call her Flower. (To keep their identity secret)
Star & me get on, Flower and me get on, but Star and Flower are enemies.

It's really difficult for me, because I can't multitask seeing one then the other... And if I'm friends with Star then Flower doesn't like me and if I'm friends with Flower then Star doesn't like me.

Does this just mean they aren't very good friends? Do I just move onto better friends I just made in my new school?

I have a history of making friends with moochers who use me to their advantage. But this is the most recent one, she always beats around the corner about what she wants instead of asking me directly for something. The bad thing is she's older than me. She doesn't have a job, flunks her college classes every semester,even this one. She makes excuses so she won't be independent ALL the time to the point where I get tired of talking to her. Every day she complains of something that could be fixed. Like her parents getting on her nerves and how she wants to venture out and be famous....you're 21...move out!! I'm constantly transporting her around with gas tank almost on E, helping her find a job even though she's being picky about where to apply, and only wants to come to my house to use my computer. Every day she wants me to skip my classes so that I'll pick her up so she won't be in the house all day. Like hello I have my own agenda too!! I don't know what to do anymore...Please help

I was looking at some pictures of one of my daughter's friend's 16th Birthday party on Facebook. She has a big party with about 100 people.

My ex-husband and I knew her parents and used to meet them at social outings. I also went to see my daughter's friend when she was born.

I wonder sometimes why things seem to work out for them - good kids, house, jobs and intact family. Yet, my life is so messed up - marriage did not work, child is not doing so well in school, career is not where it should be, no social life, etc.

I am happy that this family has a good life and things worked out for them. Yet, I look at my life and wonder where I went wrong. I could not adjust to my ex-husband and left him so many times. He was and still is abusive, controlling and manipulative.

Life is strange......I guess you have to make the best of each day.

Why is it that some people have a smoother life than others?

My 5 year old son is playmates with my neighbors 5 year old boy . They live 2 doors down.
Many times over the past few years I've heard that my neighbor gossips about me alot and basically can't stand me even though she is wonderful to my face, asks my advice, brings down homemade treats for our family, and tells me what a good friend I am.
Come to find out she has done and said some very mean, untrue and hurtful things about me.
I need to add that I am a great place in my life and she tells me how she wishes she could be in my shoes.
I have tried so hard for the sake of our sweet little boys and for the sake of being neighbors.
I know I could have her boy down to my house but if she is making up lies and she really can't stand me...well I am just terrified that she would say something happened at my home that didn't!
How do I tell my boy he can't play with his friend anymore?
I need to be honest with out saying too much and what the heck do I sat to her? Do I confront

I have not had a roommate for 5 years (I am 29), but moved in with a friend 2 months ago to save money. Last night I came home from a late night at work (9:00 p.m.) and he and some girl I have never seen were in the living room, lights were off, cuddled up on the coach, watching a movie, and drinking.
When I came in he didnt say one word to me, didnt say to come join them, etc. So, I really had NO CHOICE but to go to my room, as the lights were off, and they were watching a movie. I was annoyed as I thought it would have been nice of him to at least call me or send me a text message and tell me he would be using the living room, watching a movie with this girl. At least I would have prepared for it or made other plans last night. Bcs. I had no choice but to go to my room close the door basically go to bed. As we SHARE the common areas, I thought this would have been the classy thing to do and that he was rude. Am I wrong? Please let me know.
