I've been pretty mad at my friend lately. She cusses a lot and doesn't talk very nice. Anyway, she got one of my other friends in a lot of trouble, and I'm really mad at her now. She then asked me etoday if I was mad at her. What should I do, since I don't want to say, "You're not a nice person to be cussing a lot and I don't like that way you talk?"?

I don't think there is many options on this one. At some point you will have to say "You're not a nice person to be cussing a lot and I don't like that way you talk?"? Maybe you can reworded it a little bit.

Maybe say "I don't like that you curse so often and the way you express yourself. You also are means to others or show other disrespect".

Bottom line is that the only way to tell a friend they are doing something you don't like is to come out and say it. Of course , be polite. Remember you are expressing concern not anger.

just tell her you don't appreciate the way she has been talking lately and that it wasn't right that she got your other friend in trouble....see what she has to say and take it from there.
