my friend josie is always believing every rumer she hears and then gets mad at me for it. i try and tell her that its not true but then she gets all defencive and wants to fight. but im not the type of person that fights over stupid stuff like thatwhat should i do?

I have been doing some simple math and I think my best friend (and maid of honor) may have pulled one over on me.

She came to the rehearsal dinner the night before ($50/head), she brought a friend of hers to my wedding as a guest (not a boyfriend) at $170/head. I also gave her a $100 gift for being my maid of honor. So, that's about a total of $490. That's what I spent on HER for my wedding.

She gave me an ice bucket & tongs, a wine cooler, and a wine coaster for our wedding gift. About a $70 value.

We're not talking about someone who cannot afford a decent gift - believe me, if she couldn't afford much I never would have given this a second thought. She comes from a VERY well-to-do family and her bank account would probably put all of ours combined to shame.

Not to mention the fact that literally the week before my wedding she paid $500 for a lap dance for some guy she had a short fling with.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on this? I don't know what to think.

I'm friends with this guy, but I am really, REALLY not attracted to him at all (looks-wise and personality). And yea, he likes me...but how do I get him to stop? I still want to talk and I don't want to ignore him but I don't want to be too mean or get into an uncomfortable situation at the same time. Right now it's just really awkward...so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a big problem, I have a wife she is very nice lovely and caring,
But she is more than I can say, for sure when
Every end month she demand all my of my salary, when I dare to refuse I receive dozens of slaps, blows, kick……………………..>

I have been living with this kind of problem for the few years that we have lived with her.
Last months I introduce her topic of divorcing her whoop!!!!
You know I head to sleep in my friends House for some few days.

Me and 3 friends are 4 best mates.

One of their birthday's is on the 9th of november, and i havent got her anything yet. One of my friends has made her a scrapbook and a collage and the other friend is writing her a song.

Any ideas that i could get her?

It has to be something that costs time not money

few months cos he was bored of the course, he phoned me the other day when I was on my break in uni and I was talking to him and was asking what he had been up to and if he enjoyed his holiday.He told me that he was bored and I said things get like that sometimes and he said to me "It's allright for you, you've got university".If he is now bored then why the heck did he come off the course in the first place?He does'nt make any sense!

im really quiet in class...so wouldnt it be weird if all of a sudden i start talking in class....

i feel invisible most times...i really want to make friends, but most times i feel shy and dont know wat to say or how to start conversing....
and keeping a conversation going

isnt it not normal that i didnt even make friends yet when a month has already passed of school? i dont want it to be like this for the rest of the year :'(

I'm not a winer. I'm not a complainer. I'm not even a pessimist. But, lately I just feel like a downer. I feel as if I'm missing the fun in life. I feel anxious and shy. I feel like all of my confidence just disappeared. I transfered to this college in high spirits. My summer was great: old friends from high school and family: two things I love. But now, at my new college, I just feel alone and kind of sad. I've always been a shy person but lately, I feel like I've made no effort in meeting knew people or being social. I guess I don't have the confidence? Well, I'm just wondering if anyone else is feeling similar? Or, if anyone could offer some advice...to give me a better mind set, more confidence, or simply help me find the fun I experienced in life not too long ago.

My roommate and I get along as well as any other.......I guess. I believe that I am more courteous to her than she is to me. For example, I happen to be a night owl, but I am a quiet one. However, if I am sleeping she will be one the phone talking EXTRA loud as if I am not there.

Anyhow, the current issue that I have with her is that she let a male friend of hers spend the night in our dorm room without even asking me or saying something.

I want to confront her on this issue since I found what she did to be incredibly disrespectful. She pretty much acted as if I wasn't even in the room (and I don't mean that they were getting down while I was in the room), and I don't feel that she has the right to do that when we are sharing one room. I feel as if she should ask me. Why do I have to be uncomfortable in my own space? It isn't like we are in an apartment and she was in an entirely different room.

I'm a young single woman and have had a huge argument with my best friend (a lovely man) over a decision I made concerning my values. Call me old fashion but I'm reserved and don't believe in sharing a bed regardless of how innocent it is. Granted we have been more than friends in the past but that stopped a year ago and he presses me every now and again although it's only teasing I gently resist. He's going through a really rough time right now and whilst I'm trying my best to be supportive I'll not sacrifice my values. We had a huge argument about sharing a hotel room should he visit me. Granted I got angry too and could have been gentler in my responses, but I have apologised for hurting him and asked for his forgiveness - he has simply told me to leave him alone. This hurts like crazy... Am I out of order? Is there anything esle I should do?

She's a cool girl, but really I just don't have time!! I am married and recently had twin girls so I really have my hands full. I ignore her calls sometimes if I'm busy, but I do call her back when I get a chance. She jokingly accused me several times of "trying to dump her" when I don't answer my phone hoping that she'll take the hint. She knows very well that I'm very busy but she constantly comes over unannounced and calls me at least 3 times a day. Especially when she's having boy trouble or fighting with her mom. I don't mind helping her with her problems but I really really have my hands full. I try to make time for her when I can, but my husband and my girls need me more! I should mention that she's very sensitive but obviously can't take a hint. What should I do?

Do I stay out of it or talk to him about it. Its such a long story, but to shorten it ...my son is extremely outgoing and has alot of friends, but he is searching for that one good bud. He can't seem to get one and he gets real sad when everyone else is hanging with their "best" friends he doesn't have one. He is left out alot and it breaks my heart to see him so sad. He even told me he wants to switch schools, but he's up and down with that. Its tough cuz he is very popular, he is a football player, very good grades, he is fun etc..... but this has become an issue and I am worried. Do I stay out of it and let him resolve this or talk to him about it? I have suggested so many different things I don't know what to do anymore. Sometimes I worry to even bring it up. I just can't stand to see him so hurt by this.

im at college and on the course im on theres a group of friends i want to hang bout with at dinner but i have made some friends on the course i have that i go out with at dinner, girls, but theres sum lads i want to go round with but how do i leave the ones im with at the minute.

like at dinner shall i just walk off with the lads or offer the girls to come with us, and if they dont want to come shall i just leave them? but them if they dont like that ive left them there that thing that i have to sit in lessons with them.

I have a friend that I recently told I have feelings for her, my problem it was only 1 month after she ended a 5+ year relationship. Maybe too soon but I didn't want to date her then, she needs time to get over her ex. I told her this. A couple weeks later she started treating me bad. Then she started treating me bad in front of people. Her ex and I are friends and everytime we go go out and she sees us enjoying ourselves she yells and curses at me. She told me she hates me and we are no longer friends. I feel I did nothing wrong and feel she doesn't mean this it's just out of anger. I haven't spoke with her in 4 days. She doesn't answer the phone when I call. What can I do to show her that I care and I'm not the bad guy here? I told her many times that I'm not the bad guy. I'm thinking if I quit hanging out with my friend, her ex that we would get along but her ex has been a much better friend to me. I'm confused I just want to be the bad guy.

I have just had my 30th Birthday, My current workplace I have been at for 3 years. I have never caused any problems for anyone I work with and never made an enermy. I work well with them when I have to and have great interpersonal skills. I am polite and friendly to them. For my Birthday collection I got only £10 from them. I think this is tight and so do my family and close friends. I am upset as this shows whatthey think of me. What should I do? They never invite to the pub either. I am upset.
