In the past any friend that I had they approached me and so we became friends. They were not always the best quality and not someone I would have probably chosen if I did choose. I usually end up cutting them off. Now I only talk to my mom, husband, and kids. I spend a lot of time alone, which I enjoy alot, but sometimes I wish I had a friend or two when I get lonely. Am I weird? Can anyone relate?

hey i am a freshman i am going to a new school. School has been good for a while now and i have made some freinds. school has only been on for a month. But, there are these girls i used to talk to and one of their freinds said that i was talking about them. Now the girls that i useed to talk to know are being bitches. They say **** like i have no friends and that i wear the same clother everyday and like a hole bunch of other ****. ( i do not wear the same clothes though) I have never even talked about this girl!! I am just wondering wear did this even come from and why are they so damn bitchy now?

I'm a very friendly outgoing guy and I seem to connect fairly well with people but it seems that nearly all the people I get to know just want whatever they can get from me - like when I made $47 an hour and was very generous with people I had all kinds of people around and when I was injured and couldn't work and I was in the hospital and all that - where was everyone. My wife and I really communicated with a lot of people and we were very generous and then when she died, everyone vanished, and only 2 people one in Texas and one in Iowa (I live in Wisconsin) cared enough to check on me to see how I was doing. So as long as I'm the one calling them, everything is ok, but what about when I can't call them. I don't know why this happens all the time. It seems when I make an effort to reach out to more people I just end up with more acquaintences, and honestly I dont' want more acquaintences, I just want more real friends, and I'm at a loss to understand this.

Now I know that getting along with family members are a must but this is starting to wear on me. My gf (future fiance in 2 months) is such a great person. She is so sweet and has a personality that litterally, lights up the room. I have never been anywhere with her where she didnt make immediate friends and conversations with perfect strangers.

With this said, it constantly seems like her mother, who she recently roommated with to ease the financial burden on her mother during her mothers divorce, has constantly rode her. Shes 33 years old but her mom treats her like shes 17. Constantly riding her and telling her what to do.

Ive tried so hard to stay out and just supply words of encouragement but its getting really hard to stand by and watch this. I dont want to cause problems with my future mother in law but this is getting very, very old. I really dont like people pushing her around like this.

What do I do?

over the summer i went to visit my best friend (who is also my ex bf) and all of our mutual friends talked alot of sh*t about it behind my back but were nothing but smiles to my face. i went down to visit him in july (he moved 300 miles away in may) and i just found out about the gossiping recently. he is coming up this weekend and even though i would give anything to see him i do not want to be around our "friends" who talked so much trash..they obv arent my friends (or his) if they would say stuff behind both our backs so im stuck. if i hang out with them they will talk crap cuz the only reason id be there is to see him and they all know it (i havent spoken to them since i found out everything) but i do want to see him cuz hes my best friend...if i dont hang out he is going to ask why...should i tell him what people were saying or should i take the heat and pretend its my fault im not hanging out?

A gul came in my life as matchmaker who trying too knot me with my ex GF. became my friend speaking over phone for long time...start meeting alone...i started liking her indirectly proposed her at that time she remembering me about my past (x gf) & avoide to answer or we are friends onec she came to my place and had some romantic moments.... i proposed her again still no answer avoided.she feels jeolous if i approch other gals... told everything about her past which really not discuss out of home or her close friend are not aware of it..always teasing me by introducing or discussing about other guys which i hate again i had asked her does she like me she answerd i like all my friends.ur my friend but i never felt while with her or without her that we are just friend i told her.she still on same path what do i do

So I love my boyfriend, weird to say. It's the first guy I've ever said it to and I mean it. I'm 13 and We've goin' out for a while. His friend I tihnk likes me too but Isee him as a best friend. He's very protective over me and wants to beat up anybody that steps in my path. What should I do? He hasn't admitted to liking me but he'll say stuff like nice butt or you look really good today. Theres a few b!tches (A 19 year old and a 17 year old who are sisters) and their friends, have been picking on me since I started high school, and a bit while we were in the same primary school. i'm 13, and on about 7 different occasions they have chased me, thrown rocks at me, spat on me, and bashed me up- not to mention the names they call me.
i moved schools (not because of them though) and i don't go down the street anymore, ive taken to hanging out in a different suburb so i dont run into them.
i hadnt seen them in months but
today, i was with a friend and they were at mcdonalds, and i walked in and they started yelling and spitting and swearing.
i ignored it, went in and ordered, and they came in behind us, and started making fun of our clothes, one of them tried to put her hang in my bag, but we left, &then we were @the bus stop and they drove past and spat on us and tipped what was either urine or water on us as they went past
Do i report them?is this enough 2 get an AVO?

Im not great at makng friends and i have been talking since aug with this guy in work (who has a gf) anyway how can i tell if he wants to be my friend or is being nice. He invited me to lunch the once so i returned the favour which he accepted. He invited me to look at his new flat which i did. The thing is he isnt great on contact. As i dont see him a great deal as we work in diff departments i email him now and again but alot of the time its me contacting him. He sounds happy enough to talk and seems interested. He has emailed me first once/twice to see if im alright but i wish he would contact me a bit more or ask me to lunch again without me asking him. I know its probs his way. I emailed him on friday bout something and he didnt reply but did come down to my department and asked for me to appologise for not replying which was nice as otherwise i wouldve thought he was funny

I can't wait to get out of middle school! All my friends promoted this year and I'm stuck with all these fake, boring friends:/ I'm not in any rush to grow up, I'm just tired of my middle school. I just wish I could fast foward time to April. I have a lot of extra activies: student council, scholarship, cheerleading, drama club, tutoring. How can I make the days go by quicker? Or seem to? I work with some people who are very stressed and just basically not very happy I dont think. They are sometimes just mean and impersonal. Dealing with them can be the most impossible nightmare.
Lately, I have been faking being the kindest, sweetest person you have ever met and they are happier around me it seems.
Do you think I am on to something?

So let jus put it this way his dad's a @$$ & abuses him. The other day he ran away but my mom being a teacher had to call the cops cus if she didnt she could lose her job. This kid is smart. He gets stright A's, but his dad beats him and broke his gutiar, shaved his head,& he ranway to my house. He ended up going bac to his house cus the police said so but child services came and his dad lied and said he would spank him, he didnt say nething bout a belt. His dad wont take him to school,he lives 5 1/2 miles away 1h and 30 min walk.The teachers got got him a bus pass,with his MOMS permission. We went on a field trip this past friday, wich we dont need a parents signature. His dad and mom came in yelled @ our princpal for "kidnapping him" and yelled @ the teacher for getting him a but pass. His dad make him walk to school,&watches him do it.He got pulled out of our school which is 2 ranked in P.A and is giong to a not so good school.can he runaway&live@a friends house w/o it beng illgal!?

My mom has been on her own doing her best to raise four kids with her minium wage job since my dad was sent to prison. We were getting state aide until I became old enough to get a job and help with the family expenses. I'm 20 now with a kid of my own and I'm going to school and working a manager job that pays me more than my mom's job pays her. I want to move out in the next year or two and have started putting money away for it but its getting harder and harder to keep up with all the expenses and I find myself dipping into that more and more to keep up with bills. I have offered to help my mom go back to school so she can make a better living but she is reluctant because she thinks she is too old and feels has no drive to want to do more. Things are getting more expensive these days and I can't get my own family into our own place while spending so much of my money supporting my mom, my brothers, and sisters. I want a place of my own but I don't want to leave my mom hanging.
