It's illegal for a 19 year old adult to be involved with a minor child, which you are probably considered to be in the eyes of the law.
I know, we can't help who we are attracted to. If you have questions or concerns, talk to your parents about their feelings on the subject.... ?
that's my best answer

Three years isn't alot, unless it puts someone over the legal age and another under it. A realtionship with those ages can lead to trouble-- and also makes me wonder why he's interested in you.
Don't get me wrong! He's probably an okay guy and you sound like a nice girl and everything could be fine... but, first ask yourself these questions:
How do you know him?
Do you know enough about him to trust him?
How did you meet?
Do any of your trusted friends know him?
Do you think he's going to want more out of you than you want to give?
Sixteen is sort of young to be getting involved in what might turn out to be sort of a serious relationship. Make sure you like this guy. That aside, I think you should wait it out if you REALLY like him. If he's sort of 50/50 whatever, move on hun. Plenty of fish in the sea!
Good Luck! :)

No. I don't think you should be "going out" period. You are still young. Besides...he is of age and you are not. That will go against the law.
Neablis, it is against the law to have intercourse with someone of age if you are underage in SOME states. Never-the-less one thing usually leads to another. Those who are 16 are still too young to deal with ALL aspects of a relationship. I am not saying three years is a big deal, b/c it is not. I am saying due to the situation, yes, it is a big deal. Also, learn to proof your answers...it makes for better credibility.

No, no no.
In most states that is against the law but besides that, a 16 year old should date someone there own age.

^ Its not against the law! idiot, the legal age of consent is 16 is some United states states, and who said they were going to have sex? you date at nearly any age, there asking whether it will work.
Thats my currently romantic situation and we are going on to a year now. Three year age diffrence might seem like a really big deal in high school since that is three grades, but think about it in the long wrong? what is three years to an older couple, its trivial, go for it, it means you get to go to multiple senior proms.

First of all it is illegal in some states to date minors. If you really like this person then wait until you are 18. If he really cares about you he will understand. It's always better to date people your age because you will have more things in common. Oh yeah keep in mind that he can get in serious trouble for dating a minor.

Why not I was 16 and my boyfriend was 25. Now we are getting married in June. I am now 20 and he is now 28. As long as he is a great guy it should not matter how old he is...

She's asking if she should GO OUT with, not SLEEP WITH.
I met my husband when I was 16 and he was older than me. There is no harm in going out, just don't have sex!
