Sounds like you are a teenager,....listen the ones who are often over looked when they are younger end up to be the most beautiful women. I know that doesn't make you feel better now but just try to find something that makes you feel good about yourself. And understand that it's not you, it your body, a lot of hormones are coastin around in you body right now. That word Emo is just another way for people not understanding someone different, so hey lets put them in a box. Don't go for it. Be who you are, express how you feel, and know that EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL TO SOMEONE!!!

Realize that you are only a few years from being an adult. Then you can make your own way in life, go to college, get a job, do what you want to do. Popularity in school is meaningless. Once you turn 18 and graduate it will all be a distant memory.

And you can never be too smart. Smart is good.

Hon, please don't be afraid of telling someone about your feelings.... you have a school counselor i hope -- please make good use of this resource for hellp.

There are lots of kids who feel the same way you do... it's very difficult being a teenager sometimes.

Counselors are there for direction, help and support. Maybe yours can give you some good suggestions and talk to you on a continuing basis -- OR suggest a therapist, and maybe even help you talk to your parents.

People don't like to go to therapy and counselors because they are afraid of their own feelings and pain. Ask me, i have been there -- but i can tell you i have been in and out of therapy for many years now, and it's helped me a great deal.

We need to realize therapists and counselors are human too, and have their own issues -- they are in the field because they WANT TO help others... and they can...

Listen up girl there is nothing wrong about being smart, just start hanging out with other smart people and soon you will notice that all those so called "popular" kids are really not headed to where your group are going which is UP!

Visit a cancer ward and talk to people who really are dying. That should snap you out of your self indulgent self pity. No matter how young you are (you sound about 12) it is never too early to learn others have a much harder time in life than you do.
