Family - February 2007

I have two kids and my boyfriend is constantly talking about them like they are stupid, dirty and he keeps saying that they are going to end up in jail or something. My daughter is in 3rd grade and makes A's &B's and my son is in Kindergarten and makes the same grades. Everyone loves them except my boyfriend. I want to go back home to my family but I don't have a car or any money. He has made sure of that. can someone please help. Do I just tell him off and call my family or what?

My parents got divorced right after i was born and i am 26 years old now. I have a sister that is 7 years older then me. While growing up with just our mom my dad was always there for financial support. Not much emotional support, but we never went with out. We would spend summers with him and go on the road with him, but he was not around because he is an insurance adjuster and he was on the road all of the time. My sister was close to my dad until she got married and moved to Texas. She has 3 kids and they all come down all the time to visit my mom but she never visits my dad and he is 45 minutes away from my mom.This hurts my dad big time. Every time i try to mend the relationship between my sister and my dad my mom and sister bite my head off saying there are things that i don't understand.i want them to get along so what should i do. How can i get them to reconnect or should i just stay out of it.He is 70 with health probs and i am scared he will die and she will regret it

I have been completely financially supporting my mother for four years now. She is not disabled or anything. I allow her to live in my house (I let her have the master bedroom-I sleep on the couch when I'm there) and pay nothing. I pay all bills, services,and food. In return she watches and homeschools my 12 year old and now watches my baby boy while my hubby and I are at work. (My hubby and I have not combined houses yet as we are recently married and that's another story..)
It has worked pretty well but recently she has started testing my nerves. She acts annoyed when I'm around and keeps asking me when I'm going out. If my brother has been there, she goes on for an hour about how he brought them something special from Whole Foods market. But not once in all this time has she ever said "Thanks" to me. I say thanks all the time to her for watching the kids and let her know I appreciate it. I could just stay at home and move my husband in with me and combine houses..

When I went to sleep last night I was laying next to my husband is our nice beautiful king sized bed. When I woke up this morning I felt very strange. All of my clothes were off and my body was being massaged by cold hands that didn't feel like my husband's. When I turned over to see what was going on my father in law was the one who was in bed with me!! He was massaging my naked body and he was naked as well. What makes it even worst is that my husband was standing over in the corner video taping the entire incident. I was mortified. I slapped my father in law, covered my naked body and demanded to know what was going on. My father in law told me that I looked so peaceful resting, that he wanted to give me a massage to make sure I was even more relaxed. I started yelling and screaming and demanded that they both get out of the house. My husband told me that I was acting like a fool. He said that this is normal behavior and that fathers and son's do this all the time????

Would you prefer to live on the bottom, middle or top of an apartment complex? I live on bottom right now and the people above us have a small child and is contantly running all hours of the day and night. My boyfriend spoke to them and they said they would keep it down but didn't. So my b/f talked to the landlord and basically he said he couldn't do anything about that but if it was loud music or something he could. So.....he suggested moving to the very top apt. I DO NOT want to move for two reasons: one we JUST moved in last week and just now have everything already unpacked and pics hung up and two we will have to move everything up 3 flights of stairs. Plus I wonder what if there are people on either sides of us who are loud. I don't want to but my b/f does...what do I do????? Please help ASAP.

Well,my mom said that we had to choose a name for the baby...which is weird but whatever.So me,Jessica,Justin,Molly and Conner all have to agree on a boy name(first and middle)and a girl name(first and middle)We decided to go with Aaron Blake as a boy name and Jenna May as a girl name.So what do you think good or no?

So, basically I moved out last september because my mom is an alcoholic and my dad is emotionally abusive to my family because of it. yeah i have kind of a dysfunctional family. but anyway, i love my mom to death despite what she does, and that she wont get help, but i couldnt take it anymore. i have a good job, and started working 2 jobs to pay the bills.When i moved out, my dad let me take 1 of his 5 cars, and i told him i wanted to buy it, and that id make payments on it. The problem is, the car is a piece of ****. its a 89 ford mustang convertible, and has so many problems i couldnt list them. i did get in a car accident in it, but it was minor. the headlight on the driver's side is messed up, but im going to replace it. I dont have the money to invest in something that wont last long. he wants 1200 for it, but idont want to anymore. im so confused and dont want to make hm upset, but my parents have ALOT of money, thats not the problem.. I just reallydont want him to be mad at me..

Donna is going to Atlantic City on Friday and her daughter is coming home from college on Saturday. Her daughter lives at school 1 hour from Donna and Donna house is 2 hours from Atlantic City. Can she stay overnight in Atlantic City and still get to see her daughter?

I have a younger brother. I'm the oldest of 4, he's the youngest. He was a tough kid, always challenging everything and evrybody. Fastforward... He tried college. In 8 years that he spent while my parents were supporting him financialy, he wasn't able to complete a stupid degree. They kicked him out. He's held numerous jobs, the longest lasting about 2 months. He quits everything after 1-2 weeks. He lives with my parents. He is leached on to them.

It hurts to see him waste his life away like this. He has potential seriously. He's good with music and languages but I have a feeling he's anti-social.

I talked to him. I think he has problem w/alcohol which he denied and accused me of being crazy. We had the worst argument I've ever had w/ anybody in my life. He blames everybody but himself.

I also suggested geting a psychiatric help. He thought I was "stupid." He is so negative, I'm 90% sure he suffers from depression.

I could go on and on...
How do I help him? I do want to help him!

Here is the story, growing up my parents never belived in me in doing anything, and when I grew up my parents always said I would never amount to anything, and that I would never graduate. Here's the thing, I said **** my parents back when I was 5 when they told me I couldn't do something, and I say **** them now, next semester I'm going to be awarded my first degree, maybe it took me somewhat longer than some people but I'm going to get it.

I was thinking that once I get my degree and get a job I would buy a new car, and say **** them right to their face or something, anyway I was curious to know what would have more of an effect from the son they had that would never amount to ****.

Btw, don't bother giving advice on seeing a counselor or what not, I don't want it, and you'll probably receive a violation because of it, just answer the question or don't bother posting anything. Not everyone has good relationships with their parents.

i lost my brother 5 years ago and my uncle and grandad passed away a good few years ago but since my brother has died he was killed in a car accident i've been in my partners car and in mates cars and so many times theres nearly been a bad crash but i always seem to avoid accidents and i've had some good luck since hes passed over and i do believe hes watching over me its like i can feel his presence but others think i'm mad what do u think?

My mentally ill brother is in the hospital and has no where to go when he is released. The hospital is going to set him up with a homeless shelter. He does not take care of his illness and usually ends up on my parents couch for a year or more. He is 35 and does not work. My parents are no longer willing to take him in. I recently married and my husband and I discussed before we married that we would never allow anyone to live with us. What do I do?

My nieces were both sexually abused by their father, they are now ages 17 and 15. The abuse took place over most of their life and the details are horrific. I am so proud of them for coming forward. They started the process of filing charges in August. The process is taking a long time and it could be a year or more before he ever goes to court. Their grandma is pressuring them to stop the charges and their father is threatening to commit suicide if they testify. They are starting to buckle under the pressure of guilt and fear for their father. They don't want to be responsible for his death or what he may suffer in prison, but they don't want him to hurt anyone else again. The girls know of seven others that he has hurt, and they are unsure if these girls will testify. What advice would you give these girls?

I know who my biological mother is but she refuses to tell me who he is. I am 33 yrs old.She was right out of high school and he was in college in Garden City, Kansas. He graduated from the community college. He was 4 years older than her. When she found out she was pregnant and left for California with her sister who then adopted me. She never told anybody his name and in the social service reports she gave his background. He does not know I was ever born..I would like to know what he looks like and for him to know he had a daughter. I can not convince her to tellme anything. I have tried everything in search of this guy, such as calling family members, checking into college information, friends of friends and I am running out of resources. Please if anybody has any more ideas as to how I can find a person without a name please let me know. thanks.....

without much budget/money, after college...? If I want to get a job back east for example and then think about going to grad school later, how realistic would it be for me to just pack up and leave this state and go to say DC and to be able to find an apartment, job etc. etc. on a very small budget, and completely on my own???
