These days parents are getting younger and younger take it as a compliment and hope that when you do have an eleven year old child that you still look so good!:}

I volunteer in an elementary school, and they always think I'm a teacher or parent. Usually, it's not a bad thing, and in other situations it has its advantages. :)

if u really look that young it sounds like the teacher was really not paying much attention to you, could care less about your sister being their student, really crazy on guessing age, or just plain inconsiderate

i would just tactfully reply that i'm her sister and laugh it off.
it's silly to get offended about these things b/c people will perceive things however they want and we can't change that.
look on the bright side...maybe you could pas for 21...wink, wink!
