My mentally ill brother is in the hospital and has no where to go when he is released. The hospital is going to set him up with a homeless shelter. He does not take care of his illness and usually ends up on my parents couch for a year or more. He is 35 and does not work. My parents are no longer willing to take him in. I recently married and my husband and I discussed before we married that we would never allow anyone to live with us. What do I do?

HI i feel for you but you shouldnt have him living with you it will cause upset between you and your husband ,if anyone should have him your parents should hes mentally unstable ,if he cant look after his own illness how are you meant to help him,be firm and stick to it ,if he moves in how do you know he wont be at yours forever ,its hard but you have your own life ,thats not to say you dont care of course you do just try and help him another way like finding a decent shelter where he can live he will probably be alot happier with other people in the same situation ,good luck xxxx
