I currently live (temporarily) with my sister and her husband and their 16-year old daughter, who I'll call N (for niece). Here's the problem:
I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think N may have a crush on me. I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but here's the evidence. First, even though I've been a part of her life ever since she was very young, she's never before been as close to me as she is now. She wants to spend as much time with me as possible. She'll sit right next to me on the couch, close enough to touch me. Occasionally, I'll see her staring at me, but when I look her way, she'll smile and look away shyly. Sometimes she'll come up behind me and hug me, or pay me a compliment such as, "You look really handsome today". She never used to do these things before. She's fun to be around, but it makes me feel uncomfortable when these things happen. I don't want to confront her directly about this, because if I'm wrong I'll be left looking like an idiot. What can I do?

Personal tazer question? From http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Av6PhaEZ00XxO64yUyoEaCTsy6IX?qid=20070109143226AATdAWT
Does anyone actually think allowing these new personal tasers is actually a good idea? How long before they become a tool for mugging, rape and home invasions?

My mom's side grampa died 8:00 today, andits not a natural death...
In the Phillipines, they have lots of ludacris door to door dealers, and my grampa bought some herbal aromatics (supposed to soothe), but instead it was a poisonous plant. He was stuck in the hospital for around 6 months before... he died :(. The last time i wsaw him was when i was 2, so i don't really know him. I'm so sad, what do I do. And now my mom wants me to write i think like a goodbye letter, in the coffin. But i don't know how to write one, and my mom's side is deeply religious, but i am a bit atheisty. I dont know what to put, and every time i think about it i burst in tears.

My boyfriend and I got into a serious argument today. It all started when he had a conversation about our finances with his parents. (my boyfriend and I live together) They have lent us some money over the past week, apprx $100. My b/f just finished up school, and I am the only one working right now. I don't make that much money and we have had to struggle to make ends meet. My boyfriends parents seem to think that our spending habits are really bad, and they think it's my fault. I do not spend money on anything other than food, gas, & cigs. We occasionally go out to eat, but not that much. His parents seem to be old fashioned and think I should be taking lunch to work everyday, cutting coupons, and basically staying in instead of going out. I personally think this is unreasonable, as I am 21 yrs old! The also said a few things to him about me and my family that really hurt. I don't understand why they are doing this? Am I right or wrong? This is causing problems with our relationship.

I've been in PA for a couple months now and haven't been having much luck finding a job or even many friends. I'm thinking about possibally returning to Cali. or maybe going down to Fla. for a while. I fear moving again, i've done it so many times, i wonder if i can change my life and what about my newest friends
My other delema is a little more complex. I have a child in IL whos mother is mentally unhealthy and hates me and everyone else. I left there to try and give her some peace but, she hates me even more now. Shes keeps me from having any part of my little girls life and even though i should just move on and forget i find my heart always wanting to lead me back there. She didn't let me be part of her life when i did live there she just took as much money as she could and involved the cops or other men everytime i wanted to see her. I'm affraid if i move again that i will loose all contacts to her but, i need to establish a life again if i ever want to have the chance to leagaly

My husband and I concieved before he left to Iraq. We were stationed in Alaska and I decided it would be un-wise and un-safe for my to live by myself in that state/climate. I don't get medical coverage within the region that my hometown is located, so I was left with the option to stay with my in-laws (who are in the same medical region). At first I thought it was a wonderful idea, but the longer I stay at their house the longer I go CRAZY! I have always hated when people touch my stomach but being pregnant makes it even worse; people seem to be magnitized to my belly. My mother in law being #1 on the list. She grabs it, kisses it, talks to it, shakes it, pokes it, and so much more. Now this may not seem that bad, but she'll do it for 30 minutes at a time, or will wake me up before she leaves for work to do so, etc. She's very emotionaly sensitive and I'm not sure how to tell her without hurting her feelings. She's obsessed and this will be her 3rd grandchild! WHAT DO I DO?!?!

I knew someone had raped my mother, I just did not know who. [My mother is in jail now, by the way.] Anyways, my father explained it to me after countless times refusing to let me sleep over at her house, go to her parties, etc. I've told my friend that our parents have "Bad history" and left it at that. She is persistant in knowing what bad history, and I feel cornered. I do not want to tell her- I mean, it's the man who raised her, it's her FATHER...and I just found out he raped my mother. What should I do??

skateboard and play football. my mom thinks both are dangerous and "unlady like". i think skateboarding is cool and i would like to learn how to ride one. for the football part, i'm not talking about playing on a team, just in the backyard with my brother and cousins (who all happen to be boys). i've gotten my glasses twisted playing with them, so now i get in trouble if we play tackle. just tossing a football around a two hand touch is alright with her though (even though the guys would rather tackle). so should i just stick to playstation skateboarding and 2 hand touch, or go for the real deal.

My daughter is 15 and moved out of the house. Any suggestions on what to do. I have done everything in my power to make things work with her and she is very disrespectful, dishonest and rude. I always thought she was so much better than this and things would get better, and they have now gotten to the point where we had such a bad screaming match that she said she never wanted to live with me again and she hated me. She is so hurtful to me and my son that I couldnt take any more, so when she said she didnt want to be there any more, I told her to leave and now it is killing me. She stayed with my parents for a couple night and now she is with my sister and her family. She refuses counseling. I am going myself, but I cant fix it all alone. I need here to want to try and she doesnt want to even make the effort. What do I do?????? Can anyone help????

Thanks
D :-(

I had a daughter June of 05 and her biolgical father wants nothing to do with her i have sole custody of her and he does pay support but i would really like my fiance to adopt her. He's been there since she was three months old and he is great with her she calls him dad and she is now 19 months old. I had asked her bio father to sign off rights but he threatened suicide. He has never seen her, or even called to ask about her. Is there anyway that my fiance can adopt her with out his consent? And have her last name legally change to my fiances? she has my last name right now. I have no contact with her bio father.

My Son is 17, mature for his age. He had to grow up early due to family life. He pays his own phone bill. I bought him a car, and he pays part of the insurance.
He basically is a good kid, but never lets me know where he is going most of the time. When I call him, he never answers the phone, but makes me leave a message and then never calls me back.
He has a job, so he is responsible about that. He gets off work at 10 but it is sometimes 10:45 when he leaves so about 11:00 pm basically.
He has school at 8:30 in the morning, so I think he should not be out all hours of the night. I told him 11:30 on week days and 1:30 on the weekends. Am I being unreasonable? What are the time limits for any of you who have 17 years olds, or 17 year olds yourself.(Even 18 year olds or older living at home) may answer . I am trying to solve this problem once and for all.
