Personal tazer question? From http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Av6PhaEZ00XxO64yUyoEaCTsy6IX?qid=20070109143226AATdAWT
Does anyone actually think allowing these new personal tasers is actually a good idea? How long before they become a tool for mugging, rape and home invasions?

Imagine this. You are walking down the street minding your own business. Some guy is walking down the street the opposite way. You get within five feet, he pulls his hand out of his pocket and tazers you. While you tremble on the ground he stuffs a rag in you mouth handcuffs you and shoves you into a car. Two hours later you are dumped on the side of the road raped, robbed, and bloody. Maybe even dead. You couldn't do a thing to stop it.

You hear a doorbell. You open the door to see who is there. The next thing you know you're on the floor helpless because you've been tasered. Your family is now at risk because your daughter or wife could be raped. The crook robs you and all you can do is lay there drooling with your hands tied. To add insult to injury he steals your .357 magnum that you couldn't get to in order to defend yourself..

I'm not trying to scare but want to know if people think these things should be allowed to be owned by the public.
