My mom married my step dad when I was 5. I am now 30. Over the years since they married me and him have but heads several times. I consider him my dad, I have respect for him as my dad not step dad. My mom passed 4 yrs ago and it left a big hole in everyone. Now he fights with me about EVERYTHING. I live in a totally diferent state and still cant seem to make him happy. He is an alcoholic has a full time job but he is just really angry.

What can I do to open his eyes that stuff he did when I was a child and growing up has affected me as an adult (NO there was no sexual abuse just emotional and mental). How do I get him to realize that he hurt my mind and soul deeply?

I'm 19 and my husband is 30. He won't let me get a drivers license because he said I don't need one and doesn't want to buy an extra car. He also believes the man should do the driving which I agree with but, when he isn't around I would like to maybe get a few things from the grocery store or go to my sisters house. If you are a lady, did you have to convince your husband to let you get one? What did you do?

Every night my older sister will senk her boy friend into the house and they're doing it in the room beside mine while I HAVE to watch THEIR baby. I sick of having to listen to them. She's 25 and shw won't move out. and that good for nothing.... boy that she's with won't fix the house that my parents bought for them. I AM SO SICK OF THIS!!!!!!!! Should I tell my mom what thye are doing? Is anybody else.... in the world going throught anything like this?? I NEED HELP! I can't do this anymore! Should I go see my school shrink, or will she come back and tell my mom? I'm on the edge! I feel like I'm about to cry right now. PLEASE... somebody with any advice on how I can put up with this any longer? I'm 16, and I've already been through an eating disorder (my mom doesn't know. my friends helped me with it.) and I'm haveing thoughts of sucide because of this. This is for real and I need help!!

There are friends from high school who i haven't seen in a long time. They are the closest friends i have from high school. They are a nice group of people. Once at my college i went to a halloween dance. My mom was saying did you talk to anybody new? i told her that i knew mostly everyone who was at the dance. then she told me try to be friends with someone who doesn't have a best friend who doesn't talk to a lot of people. she said to be friends with just one girl. one isn't enough.one of my best friends was changing. sometimes it's good to be friends with someone who has a best friend. then u could all be friends. my mom has 3 best friends she knew them since elementary school. to me it kinda sounds like she's controlling who i should be friends with. i does it sounds like it?

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

my father may be emotionally abusive. signs clearly say he is but I dunno. my mother lives states away, i live with my dad, stepmom, stepsister, stepbrother and my sister is in college. i'm the youngest and the last he has left to control. he's very controlling and i don't know what to do. i don't want to give examples. i know many kids go through it and i'm not sure whether i should be concerned or not care. there's another predicament i'm in but i don't wanna put that up here again. my mom might be moving back soon. if i move in with her my life would be turned upside down and i moved out of her house when i was 10. please give me advise as to what you think i should do. i have 3 years until i'm outta here.

How do you feel about your teenage son bringing a girl up to his room to watch a movie or something? i've gone up to several guys rooms under various pretenses when they're parents were right there. it felt a little weird to me so I was wondering if this is normal. Also, do the same rules apply to girls bringing guys up to their bedrooms?
and just so you know, we didn't like have sex, or even make out in their room, but we easily could've. it's just hard for me to imagine bringing a guy up to my room, even innocently, right in front of my parents.

My friend and I like to frequent the mall by our town. It has everything, you name it....its one of the biggest in the country. Anyway, theres a adult novelty store right across the street from it, and everytime we go to the mall, she always wants to go to the adult store before we leave the area (FYI, shes not striaght, even though it has nothing to do with it)...and I always end up giving in, because I feel I have no choice.

Its not that Im prude, its just that...the merchandise dosent really change, we usually spend WAY more time in there than needed (like an hour!), she mostly looks at the female toys (nothing eles), she never ends up buying anything, she pressures me into buying stuff (and i dont), and some of the guys that shop there are kinda creepy.

I dont wanna stop going to the mall, but I dont wanna go to that place. Once in a blue moon is fine, for giggles and whatever, but, its just rediculous!

I will try to make a long story short. My mom never wanted me, she physically, mentally, verbally and emotional abuse me all my life. The physical abuse stopped when I was 20.only because my brother pushed her and said back off. Well the hitting has stopped but nothing else. I am now 37. I had major lung surgery and was very sick. I was in the hospital for over a month. during this time my mother was very nice to me, took off time from work to be with me and take me to appts. They could not find out what wrong and kept sending me to specialist. They found the problem and I am now ok. Now that I am ok. my mother is back being mean to me. She was only nice to me because she used my illness to get attention and sympathy from her co workers and friends. she used my illness for her own means. now she wants no part of me, and treats me like crap. now that I am of no good to her she made a rude comment, now that your your not sick things are going to change. now i am a knowbody...

According to the bible it is permissable to cane your children when they are disobedient. I have sat my children down and showed them the scripture, they agree that they should be severley caned for indiscretions. I also told my wife that according to the bible, I am able to take more than one wife, She says that if I do that, even flirt with another woman, she will leave me. I called my minister and have asked him to pray for her soul. I am going to stand up in church tonight and embarrass her into this arrangement. What gives women the right to disregard the bible and become selfish sinners when they get married ? She also disagrees to severe caning of the children, I told her she will probably burn in hell for her blasphemy. Would the courts give me full custody rights of the children because she is a sinner? I would also want a monthly stipen from her. Has anyone else run into any
resistance from their spouses when following the bible ?I worry for her soul. Thank you and god bless

My 11 year old stepdaughter has been taking benedryl EVERY night for over a month. Mom is giving her 3 a night when the reccommended dose is 1. She says it is to help her sleep, but when she is with us we do not have any problems with her sleeping. She wont listen to our concerns either. What should we do?

Ok,My borther has a tantrum.He's 9 an i'm 12.Here are some examples of some things.
1.One day i was minding my own business watching tv.And he comes upstirs and says change the channel.I was like i was up here first.And he got mad and turned off the t.v.I truned it on and so on.Then he started throwing things at me,hitting me,and my parents take his side and make me go away so he can watch it or they limit my minutes.
2.Sometimes i play my violin cuz i'm in 6th grade and i practice.It sounds preety good.But my mom dont think so.I start playing and my brother wants to watch t.v.So we got in a fight about that.My mom took his side.
3.Today,I needed to go to the library to get a book for my book report due in like 2 weeks.But i can read a novel in 10 days.Anyways.We went out shopping yesterday,And we didnt go to khols to get me a dress for my first middleschool dance.and so i wanted to go to the library and khols.But my brother threw a fit and didnt want to go.

well my step sister is a total *****!she is bitchier than bitchy!she always get what she wants and never has to any cleaning or anything.she doesn't even wash her own clothes and she's almost 16!she always yelling at her mother and calling her names and her mom works really hard and my evil step sister doesn't understand how hard she works.and she always plays her mom to.she'll yell at her mom and the next second my step will be crying and saying how everybody hates her.and that way she can't get in trouble.and she is always faking sick.well she is actually sick but her voice changes whenever she wants something.like if it's her mom she'll sound all sick and stuff,but if it's her bro and he's annoying her then she'll yell at him and try and hit him or something.she fakes that all the time. how do i get her to stop being a total winey,mofo complainin' fat *** *****?
