According to the bible it is permissable to cane your children when they are disobedient. I have sat my children down and showed them the scripture, they agree that they should be severley caned for indiscretions. I also told my wife that according to the bible, I am able to take more than one wife, She says that if I do that, even flirt with another woman, she will leave me. I called my minister and have asked him to pray for her soul. I am going to stand up in church tonight and embarrass her into this arrangement. What gives women the right to disregard the bible and become selfish sinners when they get married ? She also disagrees to severe caning of the children, I told her she will probably burn in hell for her blasphemy. Would the courts give me full custody rights of the children because she is a sinner? I would also want a monthly stipen from her. Has anyone else run into any
resistance from their spouses when following the bible ?I worry for her soul. Thank you and god bless

Unfortunately, your righteous ways will be disregarded with the state. The law does not mix church and state. You will also be labeled as a child abuser. The state will give custody to your spouse and she will get the monthly stipen. The only thing you can do is love and respect your wife.

You need help. I'll pray for you. In the old testament it says that men had more that one wife and that's because back then there were few people on earth. men would marry a lot of wifes so they could reproduce and have large families because large families meant great power. READ THE NEW TESTAMENT. The new testament pertains to how we should act now-a-days. Things were different back in Moses's times. Back then people did a lot of things that were permissable that Jesus changed when HE came. I don't have such problems, because I know the Bible is a collection of naive myths that have no relationship to Reality. I can hardly wait to see the excuses the Bible thumpers offer in this question. Some of them first say you should follow the Bible, but when you mention such stuff as you do, they say you aren't supposed to follow it. If one isn't supposed to follow these things, they shouldn't be in the Bible.

The Bible says that a man that doesn't provide for his family is worse than an infidel. If you are going to follow the Bible that way, you must go through every Scripture in context.
