I bought clothes for my kids twice a year. Back to school clothes, then summer clothes. When they wanted more than that, I showed them my pay stubss, then I got out all the bills and had them add it up and asked them how could we afford more money for clothes. So they saved there allowance, did extra chores, mowed lawns for neighbors, washed cars. In other words, they earned it. Then they were proud of buying there own clothes with there own money. And I was proud of them and bragged to all my friends on what great kids they where. The kids also like to hear me saying how wonderful they were.

There's a difference between wanting & needing. Maybe she feels you don't need any new clothes right now. Maybe she can't afford to buy them. If you're old enough offer to get a part time job to help buy the things you want.

maybe you should ask her if you could do extra chores around the house to earn some cash, or babysit so you can go shopping for clothes. when you have to work to earn them, you might change your mind about how many outfits you require.

I buy my kids clothes at least 2-3 times a month. My mom bought me clothes at least every 1-2 months.
Yeah, I think she is being cheap.
