Much! They are wiser, more level headed, have been where you have NOT been, and could help you get there by avoiding their mistakes. What is OLD anyway? If you are 5, a 14 year is old. If you are 14, 32 is old. And the answer is still the same, no matter how old YOU are. AND, they paid the price for you to have what you have and be who you are and where you are. So make it worth their while!

They are our history - they contribute with their knowledge and wisdom...their love and their experience, their cultures, their traditions, their values, their family roots/heritage!
If you really are asking because you don't know, I think you might benefit from doing some volunteering at an elderly home. They are too often forgotten - but they are wonderful people who deserve respect.

A lot of people today say the world is changing and what happened back then doesn't have any meaning for today, but it really does. People did things the "right" way. imho, anyway.
