The one thing I dislike about my mother is the same thing I dislike about myself.....the propensity to overreact and the ability to make really hurtful cutting remarks.

My mother in law.....well there are too many to mention probably. She is also a "jabber" -- makes remarks or asks questions that are seemly innocent but are meant to be sort of mean. My in laws as a couple are very meddling and can't mind their own business for 20 secs. Oh don't get me started!

MIL- every time she comes to visit, even though we have cleaned the house from TOP TO BOTTOM its not good enough for her- she RE-cleans it, and trys to buy things that she thinks our house needs. We have a beautiful home personalized to our taste, but I guess its not to her taste so its not right. UGH!!!!!! And she calls incessenantly (sp?) and my husband hates it- its like let us live for gods sake- we are fine without you checking in all the time- we are GROWN UPS!!!!!

she's a dreadful old bat who thinks of me as "that woman who happens to be married to" her son.

The only thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that, one day, I will help choose that womany's nursing home!
