My six and a half year old boy is in the first grade. He was assigned a small project to come up with a map showing the escape routes of his home in case there is a fire. It does not have to be very elaborate, but if any of you know where I can find like an example of a good "safety fire plan" it would be of great help. Even where I work, there is not one posted anywhere. I just need some ideas please. Their class had a "Fire Safety Program" on Wednesday where the firefighters talked to them and I guess showed them around their trucks and etc. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.

I went to my dad's office yesterday, and fiddling on his computer, I found out that he's been visiting X-rated sites thru his office comp.

At that time, I was shocked, but my first impulse was to download ccleaner, and remove all traces of this activity. Like, its not as if I don't watch porn, but I am good at covering my tracks , and He's not, and I was worried about him getting into trouble. ( At 58, he has another 2 years to go before retirement, been married 26 years.) I am 17 and my sis is 22.

But later, I visited some of the sites and confirmed my suspicions-- Many of them were fronts for "female escorts". Ugh.

What do I do? He might be cheating on my mom, notto mention spending money that he should be saving on costly sluts.

But what can I do? I am REALLY NOT comfortable discussing this with either my mom or dad, and am trying to convince myself that it must be his assistant or someone else who is using the comp when he's not there to stop them. But that's rather unlikely.

Me and my wife dont have kids. We are steadily losing our friends however, because we are at the age where they are all having kids, and whenever we get together now all they can talk about it their wonderful children. Some of them also dont discipline their children at all, and I find it very annoying, which is why we stopped visiting. We cant have kids, but we are both professionals working with children. We certainly dont expect other people's children to be perfect little angels, but we feel that our friends have stopped paying attention to our friendship. We find that because we dont have kids we always have to compromise and visit them "because its easier". Even though they have kids, and I know its not easy, shouldnt they also make an effort?

my daughter is nearly two. when ever we are around my husbands family eg his cousins, some aunties, and his brother and his fiance they make comments about my daughter. it is very fraustrating and when i go home after seeing them i am very stressed out. they seem to pick on her. they say things like temper, temper, temper! you wouldn't want anymore children with her. be nice! my daughter is a good kid but is very active i just dont understand why they all say these things she is very affectionate and does tend to like her hugs and this seems to scare some kids. there kids arent perfect so why is it that everyone will sit there and say nasty, stupid comments about my daughter and not others? is it cause they don't like her, or me or is it because they are jealous. i just feel that they all watch her like a hawk and then point out everthing she does. why dont they do it to the other kids that mis behave, dont share and cling to there mother or just winge for no reason.

It seems as if my mom hates my guts- she always puts me down and she doesn't want me to have a good life. I told her that I was planning togo to Europe next summer and she told me if I went, then she'd kick me out the house. However, my little sister told her that she was planning to go to Canada, and my mom said it was okay- no problem. Also, my mom hates that I'm a history major and she doesn't like the fact that I'll be studying to be a librarian instead of going into medicine, like my whole family did. She values my older sister, who's a doctor, but she always picks a fight with me. How can I get her to stop this? I hate it- I feel like I have a Lorelai- Emily relation with her (just like on 'Gilmore Girls!'

how do you deal with the lack of "miracles" in your life: no one to fall in love with, not getting the job you want but you're trying as much as you can, your "friend" is only with her boyfriend, your family life's not nice, etc...

Today I got word that a person had killed himself over a divorce. I do not know the family, nor do I know the man in question. But the deep feeling of sadness followed me round all evening. I posted a special blog; but it has not helped me with this deep feeling of sadness. Why do I feel so sad when I don't even know this family?

My brother moved home with my parents about 4 months ago. All he does is hang around and play computer games and go to movies and go out drinking with his friends. He's 25, and has a masters in philosophy.
It doesn't seem to bother my parents, but it really bothers me, because they seem to be under the impression that he's actually looking for work. But he's just mooching.
Should it bother me this much, or should I just ignore it?

We have an adorable 8year old girl and I think I'm pregnant again. In the past I've aborted becoz I wanted my elder sister to get married first and have a family of her own. She's not met her suitable match yet and I know she craves for a child and it makes me feel guilty to have another baby while she's craving like that! I can't even give her my baby (if I decided to go ahead with this one) as I'm not sure my husband will like the idea. I'm torn between providing a sibling for my daughter and my sister's pain. Can anyone help me resolve this?

me and my partner have done a lot to help him with the up keep of the baby. we have decorated the baby's bedroom and he still leaves her stuck in her cot which is situated downstairs all day and night. i have told him what he has to do and he says " i know what you mean". but to no avail. the baby cannot crawl or walk or even babble properly. it is hurting ourselves as nothing is being done to help the baby progress with the basics she requires!!!

I took my granddaughter to the doctor yesterday. She is 11 y/o and has recently started having problems controling her bladder. The doctor did a urine test and it came back clean. Doctor said that since it doesnt happen at night that she isnt having trouble holding it so it must be emotional. She has lived with me off and on all of her life. My daughter is not the best mother and I have turned her and her b/f in for child abuse, they did nothing. I have tried to get custody of her too, but the judge said no. Please tell me what to do. This child is my heart and soul.

My son Zachary, 4, came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it in the garbage. Zachary stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a charming little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it fell in the toilet a few days ago."
