Over the years, I have helped those on limited income who are disabled or elderly. These individuals need their families to make sure they are getting the most for their money. Please help them, do you help them?

Usually, in normal families people help each other.
I may be misinterpreting what you mean with your question, but your remark that they need help to make sure they're getting the most of their money sounds to me as if you may have someone in your family who needs that kind of help (and I'm sure there are disabled and elderly who may). It is, at the same time, quite possible that disabled or elderly people know exactly how to get the most for their money.
People need to help their family members, of course, but people also need to be careful not to assume that because someone is disabled or elderly he/she is not a sane adult. (I'm not saying I think you're doing this. I just thought I'd add it to the mix of what people are saying.)
One of the biggest problems elderly people have is being underestimated because of their fragile appearance or even because they may get preoccupied with some serious concerns and be forgetful.

Always have helped relatives. Rarely got paid back, but still helped them if I could. I don't make a lot, but I always help where and when I can.
Right now, I take care of my father. He gets his own money, but I take care of the check book and the bills and whatever else he may need.
He spent years taking care of me, so now it's my turn to return the favor.

Yes. I might not like it all the time, but I do. Especially my parents. I help them in any way I can.
