My Angel

I know of a very special Lady,
That has played a big part of my life.

There’s not a single word to describe her,
But I love her more than life.

She’s always been there for me,
Especially when I needed a friend.

No-matter how I changed through the years,
She always understood my trend.

Somehow she always knew what to say,
When I was in grief, agony, or pain.

Her love, kindness and smile were always there,
Especially when things I’d do seemed insane.

There is no other woman,
On this place we call earth.

That could possibly replace her love,
After all, she’s Mom! The lady that gave me birth.

My Mother? Well let's see. My biological Mother gave me, and my two brothers up to my abusive Father at 3 years old, she knew he was. I was raised by a step Mother that truly deserves the title "the wicked step mother". I won't go into gory details, because I know that wasn't the type of answer you perceived, so let's just say that neither one them was a good person. I walked away from my entire family at 16 years old. I am 50 now. And the better for it. My children never met any of them. I am happy with that decision.
While my answer seems dark (and it matches the life I led)..I would like to say, that God can heal those broken hearts and minds...He did with me.

superficial and narrow minded. I love my mom and she took very good care of me while i was growing up. now that I'm older and see her as a person and not just my mom, i still love her but i don't always like her very much. She can be very condescending way too critical. I keep all my conversations with her on a very superficial level.
