Find out if your child is ok. That is your priority waking or sleeping.

First of all, dreams are just dreams. Take a few minutes and visualize yourself recognizing a bad dream as just that, a bad dream, and waking yourself from it. It sounds odd, but you can rouse yourself and interrupt a bad dream. As soon as you are in control in that way, the dreams should bother you less.

However, if you have a gut feeling that your child needs better care, act on it! Make your child your top priority and feel good about the changes you make.
