I had to put my Mom in a nursing home temporaily when her caregiver(my Aunt) got sick. Now it looks like it will be perminant. I have been taking care of my Mom since I was 15 & now I am over 40. The home is close by so I go every day to see her. Please give me suggestion on how to tell Mom I can't bring her home.

When I was young I remember him being my hero and I would often kiss his cheek or forehead for no apparent reason. I LOVE YOU DADDY was a very common phrase. I remember wanting to be a nurse, not because I actually wanted to but because he admired them. As a teenager, I was NEVER embarrassed of him and even hoped he would pick me up from school sometimes. I simply adored him and thought he was the best dad on earth. Even still I never had a heart to heart. I never told him about my first kiss or date. I never asked him about boy or life problems. Of course, I never did this with my mom either.

One time I burst into tears and he lectured me about something, but I never looked him in the eye. And I still really can't. I've felt uncomfortable around him for a while.. maybe since I lost my virginity, but I cant remember when it started? There are things that I've gone through that I would never tell him and know that might be a reason, but Im not sure. Cont....

I just saw a chick's question who was pregnant with her 3rd kid. Why do people do this? Over 6 billion people on the planet and they feel the need to procreate the species. You can tell the educational level of a person by the number of kids they have...the lower the education, the more kids. Why must stupid people breed? A majority of these people are on welfare or receiving some other government help. Is this just a conspiracy to spend our tax dollars? Have a ton of kids, ruin the economy. Maybe we should just institute a new law. Give a kid an IQ test as a toddler, if it fails, automatic sterilization. Or all high school dropouts must be sterilized, same with teenage idiots who insist on adding to the people population.

Last year I split up with my husband of 18 year, we have 2 children 16 and 13. I have already been married before for a couple of years. I am 45. The thing is my dad is 99 and I don't want to worry him with all this stuff about re-morgaging and buying my husband out cos I think he is too old to worry about stuff like so Ive never told him about it. I now have a new boyfriend who want to meet my Dad and he keeps asking me to tell him. Do you think I should tell my Dad or leave him happy in ignorant bliss?

my nephew was born with a birth defect and went through 26 surgerys within 2 years. he never came home from the hospital to know a normal life. i was very close to him and i suggested to my daughter to use his name as a middle name but she is using it as a first name and i don't know how to deal with hearing his name every day without breaking down. the loss of my nephew is still so painful for me.

My mother-in-law is not happy with the idea of my wife being a mother.

I am 25 and she is 23, we have been together for 5 years and married for 2 years.

We are very happy and have a great marriage and life together.

My wife has a college education and a career she loves.

We own a house and are doing very well financially too.

My wife mentioned to her mother that we would like to try for a baby in January 2007.

Her mom got upset and said my wife is too young to be a mother.

My wife will be 24 when the baby is born, my mother-in-law will be 46, and I will be 26/27 years old.

We are starting a family no matter what she says, but how do we deal with my wife’s mother?

Why is she against my wife being a mother at 24?

My wife's mother was 19 when she had her first child, had her second at 21/22 and was divorced at 24. But, my wife isn't making the same mistakes as her mother!

In my personal observation and personal experience. Kids are generally more well behaved, and have better grades in school when one of the parents are a stay at home (mom or dad). What is your opinion? I also believe that the reason that this world is going to sh*t is because there is no one home after school to take care of the kids. And they are generally home alone after school for 2 to 5 hours. Which means that they are usually unsupervised and getting in to some kind of trouble wither you or I know it yet. Do you think that if we went back to the 1950’s or 1960’ where there was always a parent home that our kids would grow up better (like they did back then) and stay out of less trouble? Please give me a little incite to your answer.

What kindda details would you add to the conversation and why? Should you be straight nasty~ or talk nicely. As at the same time he lied to you... and made you believe him instead of mom. Making mom the bad person. Claiming he was innocent.
