my daughter did exactly the same thing in August. Not only did she delete all the holiday snaps, there was snaps of her little brothers first sports day on the camera too. They are only pictures on a camera. The real memories will stay in her head. You wont be able to retrieve them if you have deleted them so just tell your mum, she will respect your honesty and believe me she will get over it, i did.

Try buying one of those $30 programs like FILE UNERASER through the web. It can actually recover all the pictures that have been deleted from the camera (They let you download it for free to prove that it works but you have to pay them if you want to save the recovered pictures onto your computer or camera).

Yes - don't panic. There is a programme called Hama Photo Rescue! It should be able to get them back - it worked with mine, when a niccombpoop deleted all my pictures.

Go on holiday on your own and take lots of more pictures for her. get her to pay and say, its ok mum, i don't mind. I did make a mistake and i don't mind fixing it.

When you have done all of the above, buy a memory card, so next time you borrow her camera you can use your own card, and hers will stay safe at home.
