People. this is how I feel! and I know it sounds weird, but it's true! ... It’s the hard knock life for us … it’s the hard knock life for us, instead of treated, We get tricked, Instead of kisses, We get kicked, it’s the hard knock life, got no folks to speak of, so! It’s the hard knock row we hoe. Cotton blankets, instead of wool, empty bellies, instead of full! It’s the hard knock life! Don’t it feel like the wind is always howlin? Don’t it seem like there’s never any light?Once a day don’t you wanna throw the towel in? It’s easier than putting up a fight. No one’s there when your dreams at night get creepy, no one cares if you grow or if you shrink. No one dries when your eyes get wet and weepy, from the crying you would think this place would sink. Empty-Belly Life! Rotten smell life! Full of sorrow life! No tomorrow life! Full of sorrow life! No tomorrow life! Santa Clause we never see, Santa Clause what’s that, who’s he? No one cares for you a smidge! I can't fit anymore!

I discovered that my 14 yr old son has been experimenting with marijuana. Any good advice for dealing with this situation? He and I have a very good relationship and talk a lot. We've discussed all of the negative effects and parental fears. Of course, he's been grounded and lost all privileges and freedoms. I am still terrified of what he may turn to next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My son has lived with his paternal granddad since his was 4.He's now 15. I was ill when he went to live there and by the time I was better he was already settled so he remained there. He lives about 250 miles from me and his father but we talk constanlty and I see him regularly and am to take him on holiday next month.
My son's father and I do not communicate at all except through lawyers. My son's grandfather is in his late 70's and my son has really been a carer to him since he was 9 years old. I was getting very worried about the responsibllites my son had which included washing clothes, dishes, shopping, getting his grandfather out of/ into bed, etc. He's a very good student but was under pressure. My son told me I could speak with his head of year to at least let her know what was going on. I did so but my son's father got angry and my son relayed to me that his dad doesn't see what all the fuss is about. My son then took his Dad's side and put the phone down on me. I feel hurt

Its unbelievable how many overweight women we have..its ridiculous. I could be wrong but is it because most american women are too lazy to cook so they eat junk food and are too lazy to actually burn calories by doing housework? Also, that they eat like a man thinking they have the same metabolism? Am I wrong here!?

my real men, if you had a 8 month old son, and you afford it (even if your extra spending had to cease for a minute) would you want your live - in girlfriend of three years to stay home and raise your child until he is old enough for someone else to really babysit him without all the stress of a crying baby?? -or- would you want to put him in daycare for $500 dollars a week for someone to mistreat him??

i am a stay at home mom, by our choice, i was just wondering if there were anymore good men like mine out there who takes care of home.

I have a really big problem that I have been struggling to deal with some time now and I have know idea what else to do about it. I have 2 children now and my mom is a really bad alcholic. I told her when my first was born and my second that she isn't allowed to be around the my kids unless she is sober. She has come around once since my first was born and he will be 2 next month. She went to far when i was pregnant with my first I was in the process of moving out of her house because i was tired of the drinking and fighting and she beat me didn't do any harm to the baby but to me she did. She was charged with common assault and she still continues to drink. I am not asking on how I can get my mom to stop drinking but any suggestions on how to deal with it because i would really like my kids to have their grandmother in their life.

A woman who won’t financially support their child, isn’t interested in seeing them. Has only showed interest when they are in a relationship with the father. The kicker to this is that the woman I have run across like this arein their mid to late 30's. I mean is this a new trend I mean its common now days. I see it all the time.

I know there are rhymes and such that you can use to make it fun and easy to understand for the child. He wants to do everything all by himself and I can't put this in words or actions that he can comprehend.

My boyfriend and I have lived together for 17 months now, I have a 15 yr old son in Freshman Football at his school. Tonight they are having a spagetti dinner fund raiser. Of course I planned for us to go. I just picked my b/f up from work and he got into the car and said "well we won't be having any fun tonight" and I said "why, you don't want to go to the dinner?" and he said "yeah it sucks"....I am PISSED OFF!! Aren't we supposed to be a family....he's known for a week and a half about going to this....am I wrong to think that he should be positive and supportive of me and my son and go and actually act like a family?? He talks about marrying me ect....well....doesn't that mean being willing to do these kinds of things...I don't mind he doesn't really like to go but atleast be positive about it and try to have fun. Am I wrong?

Earlier on tonight I told my 6 year old he had to get off the computer and go to bed. His excuse was that he had been forced to drink milk at school which had made his arms hurt and moving the mouse on the pc made them feel better!! Haha - nice try! What's the best excuse your kid has come out with for staying up late etc..?
