You can be 16 and make a decision on where you want to live - meaning, with a grandparent, parent, or sibling at least 18 years of age. But as far as moving out entirely and getting your own place, 18. At any age under can anyone get into a legal binding contract with you; so you will not be able to get a loan, have a mortgage, or get a lease.

18 unless you get emancipated through a court which generally takes a year or so to do (unless EXTREME circumstances exist). Here's the catch though, under certain circumstances you can get around that law. I don't recommend this but if you were to be married UNDER the age of 18 in another state then that supercedes the other law and allows you to live with your spouse.

As far as I know it is 18 unless, you are married, in the military or are emancipated by court.

i was 17 when i moved out.. but then again i was graduated from high school... and i was renting from a family friend.. it is 18 to legaly enter any kind of contract (ie... lease)
