My mom grew up in poverty. When young, she worked hard 2 earn money so that her brothers and sisters can get proper education. When she married, it was not exactly a happy marriage but she held on for the sake of me & my brother. My father died 10 years back & she had to work again after a gap of 25 years.I became an engineer and my brother a doctor because of her hard work. i had a love marriage 3 years ago,not exactly against her wishes but she was not exactly happy with it either. Now, after a big fight, my wife has walked out of my home.and my wife has flatly refused to try to reconcile.
my mom, in her old age, has to witness all this. She is upset all day. I WANT 2 MAKE HER HAPPY, BRING SOME CHEER IN HER LIFE. HOW DO I DO THAT. PLEASE ADVICE, PLEASE HELP ME.

I wrote one years ago but everything has changed and I need to update it. You never know what is going to happen, right? I talked to a lawyer who works for the county I live in recently and she said that there are statutues that allow most written wills to be legally executable as long as you have it signed by a witness and notarized. So, I'm going to do this this week. I have a blended family so I'm sure that things would be confusing if something happened to me. Also, do you have any life insurance? I have a little: enough to not burden my family financially right away upon my death. Peace.

Thanx great advice by all, but I havent given you the full picture she blames everybody for her mistakes, she is uncapable of making dissisions without blaming others. She wanted him out anyway she doesn't like him she, she told me once she hates him and wishes him dead, If you met her you would see how warped and sad she really is no friends, every thing she talks about is bad things that have happened to other people and then laughs and ridcules them she brings with her negitive attiude and calma she never smiles, she is just a walking misery, She was only defending this brother, because it would make me feel bad informing authorities on brother.

Do you think that if you are molested by your father when you were a little girl does that affect you later in life? Should you get therapy or just bury it in the deep dark of your mind and not deal with it?

My mother has been a stay in mom and we are all grown up now. Unfortunately she needs my father financially to survive. There is a possibility that she already knows. It isn't the first time.
I love them both very much...

My Sister defended my older brother who was giving us hell, he took money from us and nearly drove us out of our house, if it hadn't been for me, this brother would have made me and my sister life hell, in the end I envolved the authorities and, brother has now left us alone, On a argument with this sister one day she said that I drove this brother away, and informed the authorities and that I wanted to do this to her. Any way the question is when she starts moaning to me again about how the brother treated her badly and that we should not have any contact with him, how shall I reply to her, shall I ignore her and look at her for a few seconds or shall I give her a good answear.

we are brothers, we have a strong bond. we have lived together for years and have done alot of things 2gether. We have grown up 2gether and are ready to move out on solo.
there is something wrong I think. we have stored lots of songs on our main pc, when he was moving out to settle on his own, he burnt all the songs onto cds for his use and deleted all that he has recorded from cd's onto the pc.
he barely contact and when I try to contact him he refuses to take.
this is not rational, but I still keep up hope as there ain't anything done wrong by any of us to offend the other, or so I think.
He didn't inform me he was moving. He left with his copy of the house keys.
for this I need to know.
what do you think he is thinking.
Ps.
a comment he made before leaving was, " I am moving on up, so you too must follow"

PS, I have aided him on many occasions but I never once ask for any favour- when he offer in pity things, I appreciate.

tell me what does he think. What is he implyin

No matter how old we get we will always remain sensitive to the negative comments our parents make about our choices, habits and so on. How do you cheer yourself up after such an episode?

I'm still not sure on the name for my newborn nephew, just curious to see what other people think... my friends are pretty much 50/50 on it.

Also, what's your favourite boys name?
