I wrote one years ago but everything has changed and I need to update it. You never know what is going to happen, right? I talked to a lawyer who works for the county I live in recently and she said that there are statutues that allow most written wills to be legally executable as long as you have it signed by a witness and notarized. So, I'm going to do this this week. I have a blended family so I'm sure that things would be confusing if something happened to me. Also, do you have any life insurance? I have a little: enough to not burden my family financially right away upon my death. Peace.

Preparing for the future is always a "smart" idea. We have a Will, and life insurance, too. You should also leave further details about any definite burial instruction, unless you are comfortable with others making those decisions. If you have a large estate, its always a good idea to make someone a executor of your will. Any life insurance you have, be sure you sign someone as beneficiary. Make a list of all your money accounts and account numbers and any outstanding bills. Keep it updated. This will help speed up the probate process. If you don't have Godparents for your child, be sure you stipulate who you want to take care of them. Be sure to protect your child's future in your Will. "God forbid," anything will happen for a long, long, time.

I do not have a will but I really should write one. I lost a family member two years ago this month and, even with a will, it has taken this long to have everything resolved. Much heartache for the family in getting things sorted out, don't like to think what it could have been like without a will at all.

I was only 20 when i made a will sort of paper.. i had a paper drawn up that said where my daughter would go if somethign was to happen to me. I have nothing of value so i dont think a will is nessasary quite yet... basically its like my last wishes.. well whatever.. as long as i know my little girl will be with who she needs to be then thats all that matters to me..

oh and my little girl was only 2 months old then

Yes i have a will and life insurance. It makes things easier for family and friends if you spell out your feelings on who should get what.

No, no will here. Probably a little reckless, something I should take the time to prepare. Guess its just the youth mentality of "It won't happen to me".
