Well, this is a long shot, but I used to be based in Germany, and there was a small Iranian community in Europe, at least around the Rheinland-Pfaltz state, in the southwest corner of Germany. If you can't contact the Iranian government about birth records (be careful if you aren't legaly a U.S. citizen,) then I would try Iranian groups outside of Iran.
Try the Iranian embasy (if there is one in the U.S.) If we still have an embasy in Iran, try them too.

I don't know how you go about finding your mother but I know how important it is for adopted kids to learn as much as they can about their background.
Even if your mother didn't "want" you, I question your adoptive father's need to say so. Things are rarely that simple.
What I would do If I were you is to research the availability of abortion in Iran at the time you were an embryo. If you find that it was readily available either legally or illegally it may give some clue as to your mother's feelings for you. For her to not choose abortion, would suggest that she probably wanted you but could not care for you.
I assure you that there is nothing more difficult for a mother to do than hand her child over after carrying it for 9mos., feeling it grow and move inside of her. The sort of person who does this easily is the sort of person who would have chosen abortion.
Most people in the U.S. who want to adopt infants have to go to other countries to get them because it is rare for a woman, or even a girl, in this country to be able to part with her baby. I imagine it is done more frequently in other countries because of poor conditions which do not allow a mother to raise her child or give it the life she feels it deserves.
Your mother will always be your mother, particularly if her choice to leave you was with your welfare in mind but if your adoptive parents have done a good job then THEY are truly your parents. It is natural for them to feel threatened about your desire to contact your "real" mom. They should have prepared themslves for this predictable issue of adoption. Either way, they need to accept how important learning more is to your peace of mind. Keep communicating with them and perhaps provide articles and other information on this subject so they will learn not to personalize it.
Best of luck on your quest.

It sounds like maybe your dad is not being truthfull. I would have a heart to heart talk with him and impress upon him how inportant this is to you that you find your mother. Is he your real dad?
