So, back in March my husband found his ex girlfriend from about 10 years ago. They were sending messages back and fourth and he would not allow me to read them; he deleted them. Ultimatley, I intervened and ended the messaging through her. I found out that he gave her a number but I am not sure what number it was. Just a week ago I caught him looking for her on myspace again. What should I do? I d not have a job and we have two children 6 and 2 years old. I do not feel the connection with him that I used too. I still love him but not sure that I want to be with him. I do not trust him at all.

Confidence is feeling good and sure about yourself. Usually those who grew up with good friends, family, and who were never picked on by others growing up, and were accepted by their social peers have great confidence. What about those who were tormented and picked on during their childhood? It can be really hard for those people to have confidence in themselves. It is true that studies have shown that what you experience in your childhood makes you of who you are in your adulthood.

Those of you that grew up in a large family: did you have alot of one on one time with Mom and Dad? If so, do you think that this effected your interpersonal skills as you were growing up? Did you have to fight to be noticed? Did you feel like the lack of direct conversation with your parents made it harder to communicate with other people in life? Should parents in large families spend time individually with their kids, or would that create jealousy?

(Why am I asking this? To better understand the relationship my wife has with people due to her isolation as a child as part of a huge family.)

Im 56 my wife is 58, kids have left the nest etc, and things are very happy etc. this morning (xmas day) wife brings me toast, tea etc in bed, and we exchanged presents. On opening a present she gave me, I found a pair on handcuffs (plastic) I was initally shocked and also intrigued and excited, is this normal ? she said it may bring a boost to our sex life, which I thought was pretty good after 30 years together ! am I being naive ?

Didnt know anyone else to ask !

I have been dating my boyfriend for about a year and a half. I am 27 he is 31. We live about 45 minutes away from each other & usually only see each other on weekends b/c of our work schedules. He has met my family for Christmas/other occasions, because I have invited him, but he hasn't invited me over to meet his family. I love him and he says he loves me. I have made it crystal clear that I really would like to meet them & I have told him that after this long that it hurts my feelings in a way b/c I feel its a reflection on how he feels about me. He says its a big deal & "he doesn't want to get their hopes up". As of now I have not mentioned it in a while b/c I know that if he wanted me to meet them he will let me know and arrange it. I still cannot help the fact that I feel bad about the whole thing and now keep my feelings to myself. I don't want to break up and I don't want to nag. What do I do now...just sit back and hope?
