my son as of late is worrying me. grant it he's only 14 but the thing's he say's now fortell's the future. he say's to me on several occasion's i think i'm just going to have a simplistic life. i'm not going to go to college i'm just going to make it working at mc donald's and just make enough to pay the bill's and stay at home and play video game's. i mean what i do now is fun and fulfilling. ya that's it. and he's straight up serious about it. i am a stay at home mom. and it i guess now is a well know fact that you are your children's roll model. he see's me staying home with the kid's ps he know's how hard this is by the way i make him help out around the house pull his own weight so he doesnt get lazy but still he's telling me what i mentioned. what do you think i can do for my son to help him see the light?i tried to get him to get a job but he wont. i tell him he will be a man and finding a spouse who will afford him to stay at home with the kid's is slim to none. what to do?

I am 32 and have been dating a 30 year old for 1 1/2 year. We got into an argument at 5am again. One of many where I can't sleep, cry and wake him up. He gets really angry normally and it gets a bit crazy where I threaten to leave and he is verbally abusive saying I should shut op and calling me crazy, jealous controlling etc. I am jealous and have some issues, am wrong and provoke him a lot in the middle of the night but does that justify his behavior? He puts his hand over my mouth often. He has bitten my hand. Yesterday he bit my thigh so I have a bruise today. He carried me to the door saying he was going to kick me out. Then when I didn't stop provoking he pretended to call security and pretended that he would harm himself in the bathroom. I am writing because I know things get out of hand in fights in a lot of relationships. With enough provoking can anything happen? I left him yesterday packed my stuff. Today I miss him. I have a bruise and am confused. I love him but am freaked

Leo, a 16 yr old boy is awakened by a loud smashing of the chinaware which his father threw hard on the floor. This has become a daily routine for Leo and he has grown accustomed to it. His father usually gets drunk even in the mornings and comes home angry at everybody. Loud exchange between his father and mother would normally follow after a plate or 2 have been broken. Leo could do nothing but to stay in bed and ponder about his future..

My former father-in-law is ill and not expected to live long. He was my father-in-law for 22 years and is my children's grandfather so I want to pay my respects to the family.

My ex and I had an ugly split - he left for another woman who he is now married to. I've never met the new wife, rarely see my ex and have minimal contact with my exe's family since the divorce. When he passes away, should I attend the funeral or go to the visitation, or both?

I am married for the 2nd and last time. No more marraiges for me after the 2nd one..My ex, my husband and I had a fair relationship for the sake of the children. It was more of give and take situation. Everything was good. Until my ex found a girlfriend that is when everything went south. The ex communication for the children went from hardly any to none at all...The children can speak with their father anytime they want, but as our oldest says, if dad doesn't want to contact us why should we ( is been like this for over a year). For my understanding he married this woman who has 3 older children which dramatist every little thing. My husband and I try to keep it cool. As if there is no family problems already. We don't need drama, but for my ex to have a good relationship with the children. For the 3 of us to get along. One thing, the children, my husband and I don't need and want my ex's new (3rd wife) in our family, she is not welcome. She caused too much damage, stress, headaches.
