i know its all about communication, trust and loyalty and all that jazz...but for those of you who are in long distance relationships what have you done in order to not get depressed from not seeing each other as much? my boyfriend and i are going to be close to 3 hours apart both going to universities. He's the love of my life and I dont want the distance to rip us apart because when we're together it's complete bliss. i'll love you forever if you can give me REAL advice on this one! thanks!!

sometimes i just want to run away. my dad especially gets on my nerves all the time...and by that i mean making me cry (im really sensitive). He yells at me for stupid little things, and sometimes i just wish he wasnt my dad. and he embarrasses me ALL the time, and it's more than a little embarrasment, or so i think. we're always mad at each other, but he always wins, cuz hes "the boss" and he's "always right".can you help?

I started talking to a younger guy a year ago. I was a little nervous at first and I didn't go out. I recently realized that I think he is lying. He has always said we are friends buit he comes back to me saying that other people are asking about us. His family insists that I like him and they are picky about who are his friends. His sister told me not to blow it, because she likes me. I don't understand why his family is always questioning me if he told them we are just friends. Secondly I went out with him to the movies and his other female friend was there. She asked me "How do we know each other". He made no eye contact and I spoke to who I was. I never confronted him and I thought I would look to obvious if I asked. He is very confused now that I don't talk to him. I am really hurt. He gave me flowers, told me I was beautiful and so forth. I didn't want to get into with him so I just told him I wanted space. He says he still doesn't believe I am being honest with him.

I'll make plans with one person, then while i'm getting ready or waiting for my ride or something, someone else calls.

you know when some one starts a convo 'heyy what are you doing today?' and you know that they are going to ask you to do something. but you know that they are going to invite you somewhere....


how do you deal with this?

Ussually i'll tell the person what I'm doing and be like 'why do you ask?' then they say, 'oh well I was just going to see if you wanted to....'

i always feel so bad taking this approch. any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!

I am a 33 year old divorced father of two girls whom I have two days a week and every other weekend. I love them dearly and am quite involved in their lives.
My girlfriend is 28 and has never been married and has no kids. We have been together a year now and I want to propose marriage.
However she is really struggling with the idea of becoming a step-mother. It scares her. She has read two books about being a step-mom...and one specifically about going from single to step-mom, but they raise more fear and concern.
I want to encourage her, but I do not know how. I could use some help from all you women who went from single to step-mom. I need some positive encouragement and ways to make this not so scary for her.

I graduate from college this December. My family and most of my friends live very far away, which makes it difficult for everyone to attend. My mom (divorced from my dad), extended family, and all but one of my siblings have already told me they cannot come. Every time I speak to my dad about it, he says we will talk about it later. My husband is in college, too, but he will not graduate for more than a year, and he does not seem thrilled about planning anything for the day. I am the top student in my department, I have won numerous awards, and it has taken me 6 years to get to this point after beginning school at 24 and having 3 children. I have no desire to put anyone in financial hardship over this, and it seems selfish to put on a day that is solely for me. Should I quietly walk in commencement and tell everyone not to come, just leave things as is, or not walk so that the money is not spent and I do not get my feelings hurt that no one could be there?

A friend invited me to be their date at a wedding tomorrow and I feel funny going because my friend wasn't originally invited, the bride is an acquaintance and had some extra seats to fill. I always knew what I wanted in life and now that I am reaching 30-ties it became my permanent characteristic. I don't like bullshit, I don't like momma's boys, I hate waffling and bushing around. I go straight to the point and I ask for what I want directly. Let's not even start on sex subject, I definitely like to be dominant because I like doing something I will get off on so I can be at the same time both a taker and a giver, depends on how you look at it. Don't mind being submissive for a while, as long as it gets me what I want, ususally the guy doesn't notice it's jsut a part I am playing. When I am flirting, I am really merciless. Does that make me too aggressive? Is that a turn-off?

Hey Guys,

Im just wondering.. I feel like Im getting the cold shoulder from this guy and Im not the kind of girl to really beat around the bush, Im pretty straight forward. Anyways he hasnt been very talkative lately and its driving me crazy so I told him this, and told him if he didnt want to see me anymore just tell me....This was even over the phone so it wouldnt be as awkward if we were face to face,. Anyways He gave me an excuse...but do you think that most men would answer truthfully if they were given such an opertunity to do so...or lie for some reason...maybe to spare feelings :S ??

I have been with my fiance for 3 years, and we live together.I have been there through thick and thin. Since we'be been together his mom has Not Once come over to visit us, I only met her 4 times, and that was when WE went to visit her. In Nov. he was in the hospital and called his mom to come visit. He was there for 4 days. She never came. They haven't talked since. Now my boyfriend is in the hospital again, he had surgery this time. He is in a lot of pain and needs to be taken care of. His mom is ONLY there 'cause she was at the hospital visiting her mom, when she told her she just ran into her son, and she should go see him. She wouldn't have come otherwise. Well now she is just taking over. She is pushing me out of the way. Even though I was the one to stayed with him the WHOLE time last time he was in the hospital. I can't stand that now all the sudden she wants to act like his mom. He enjoys having her around, but I am getting very jealous for his attention. Am I wrong??

OK i need some advice but i'm not EXACLTY sure what the problem is...

I've been rly worried and paranpoid about my friendships with one of my bestest friend recently. I didn;t know what was wrong until the other day when I managed to identify wot the reasons for me feeling this way were. They are:

1. I envy him. He's more popular than me. He's god at sport, I'm not. He's better than me academically.

2. I don't think he considers me as good a friend as I consider him.


Now i feel a hell of a lot better now that I know what the problem IS...but the problem still exists. How can i fix it??

I recently broke up with a women i been seeing for 18 months because she had a man even though i had knew this. She told me she plan on leaving him but it was hard to do since her kid was attach to him.So we basicly had an under cover relationship i was sick of coming home to my self and knowing she was going home to him We both didnt excpet to feel the way we did to have lust turn into love we became best of friends there was nothing i wouldnt do for her and there was nothing she did for me but i love and i thought could out last the pain however it didnt so last firday i went to her house and told her man to tell our girl to give my key it was like 2am and she was shock as **** to see me even though am not the type of person to do such a thing however i did. i was sick of her hurting me and felt it was time to end this game she was playing with my heart since that firday i have not spoked with her and it killing me but i know if i call her am not moving on and she wont get the point
