Hey Guys,
Im just wondering.. I feel like Im getting the cold shoulder from this guy and Im not the kind of girl to really beat around the bush, Im pretty straight forward. Anyways he hasnt been very talkative lately and its driving me crazy so I told him this, and told him if he didnt want to see me anymore just tell me....This was even over the phone so it wouldnt be as awkward if we were face to face,. Anyways He gave me an excuse...but do you think that most men would answer truthfully if they were given such an opertunity to do so...or lie for some reason...maybe to spare feelings :S ??

Yes, most men would tell you straight up for example that "hey, I don't like ya, and I don't want to see you anymore". This bloke is obviously taking the immature approach and is being the way he is with you right now. You've done your part so the most you can do is to wait it out and see what he's going to do next. He's being really jerkish to be playing you like this. I don't think you deserve this at all. You may need to quickly assess if this bloke is really an ideal mate, otherwise, if I were you I would say like 'good-bye' and find someone else who really cares about you. Good luck!!

Ok I know.. I'm sorry I'm not a guy but try giving him the cold shoulder or giving him some space he might have a few issues of his own and don't ask him that question anymore once was enough. It's weird how sometimes a guy see's you falling back and bit and they step up their game in fear that they may have some competition. If you fall back and he doesn't seem to care then it's crystal clear he was just a coward and couldn't be honest.
Don't stress the dude. You did your part by being mature and tried to communicate if he couldn't do the same then maybe you need to be around somebody more mature.

GirlyGirl, I cannot answer for the entire male race but will tell you that this old guy would be honest with a female if I wasn't interested in. Perhaps there is something bothering this man and you should perhaps come out yourself and just ask him if there is something happening in his life at present that is upsetting him. Also come straight out and ask if he is trying to give you the cold shoulder or what the heck is up. Hopefully your relationship is open enough that he will be truthful with you and then you can feel more at ease. Best of luck.

Oh, I HATE it when other girls do that... I'm not that type of girl. We know what we want... most of the time. But for some reason, other girls like to "give hints" instead of telling you straight out. Good luck. x

I would come straight out and tell a girl if I didn't want to see her. But that's just me.
Some guys don't want to "hurt your feelings" or feel that you might end up hating them if they turn you down -- so they prefer to live in that "fantasyland" where they can be delusional and think everyone is better off the way they are.

i would tell her but most guys that want to break up just keep ignoring the girl or try and make her mad so she will do and he wont have to...if I'm not happy with the way things go when I'm with a girl i just tell her the best thing in a relationship is be honest and talk about things and don't stay in one that ain't going the way you want it too, in a relationship i like sex but if a girl doesn't want it that doesn't bother me at all but i will just let her know...that is good but that not for me so lets both just move on...honesty is best way to make relationships work..

My guy says that most of the time that he has walked away from girls he doesn't tell them. He just lets them go, distances hismself and that's it. I mean if he is just distancing himself then let him, don't call him or anything and he'll either come to you or just keep going...then you'll get your answer.

Every guy does it differently. This something you can not generalize. Actions speak louder than words. That would give you more of a clue than anything else. :)
