mother has been on hospice statis for almost a year. Doctors have told us to hurry and see her before it is to late. We live in CA but our mother lives in TX. My brother,sister and I are not working and have very little money and can not afford to go. Who can we ask for help?

My friend had a 5150 psychiatric hold put on her that turned into a 5250 hold because she tried to committ suicide after her husband found out about her third affair in less than 2 yrs.

The details about the affair are gritty and heartbreaking because we've known each other for 10 yrs and we're both 19 yrs old now. My friend has been married for 4 yrs to a man she's been living with since she was 12y/o. He's 8yrs older. They have 3 kids together.

My problem comes with how this affects our friendship. Apparently my friend took her 2yr old twin daughters with her to meet this man she met off of the phone chat and she had sex with him while her children were being watched by who knows!

I find this fact disgusting and I don't really know how I should treat my friend after she gets out of the mental institution. Is this friendship worth keeping with someone who might relaspe. I don't want to abandon her at her time of need.

Should I keep the friendship?

Okay, I have two friends, I'll call them John and Jane, who have been going out for a little over two years. Jane has considered breaking up with him over the past few weeks, but one of the things stopping her is that she's scared he might kill himself. When my girlfriend (Jane's best friend) told me this, I didn't think John was the suicidal type. I've known him for about 7 months, and he doesn't seem the type at all. But my girlfriend said that John told Jane that one time he was dumped, he cut himself. He also owns a gun, and one time he old Jane he felt like shooting himself.

In a nutshell, I think that if Jane doesn't want to be with him, then she shouldn't be forced to. But this whole "suicide" thing is scaring her into staying with him. What can I, as a friend, do to help?

I work at a luxury grocery store, and the girl I like comes in often to buy exercise aids, health foods, and bottled water, she's a health nut like me... We met in school, she's a senior (graduated) im a junior, she showed little emotion in our hour until she worked in my group, she smiled at me all the time, whenever she would then see me at work she would light up and seem happier when she saw me, we really seem to have a connection of friends atleast, we don't have to be boyfriend/girlfriend, how exactly can I see her more often, I mean I can't go to work everyday on the offchance that she may show up? How can I possibly hang out with her more often as a friend atleast? All of the girls I know around don't seem to have to many contacts who know her....

my b/f or x? is in missouri right now. hes been there for like a week now & he won't be back til the end of the month =[

We havent spoken after having a one year relationship. Honestly its my fault, I just cant see myself been friends with her after what we had. We broke up for we had to many things going on at the time and seem as we were to young to be "marry". However, I feel its time for myself to be mature and at least say something. My friend who is still her friend suggested giving her a phone call to at least make things right. I think my sister has been brainwashed. She moved in with this guy and I told her I didn't think it was right, but it was her life. Anyway, she's gradually lost contact with everyone in the family. She's promised see us several times and not shown. She's given us false addresses and refused to answer calls from us. She is 21 years old and an adult, but I can't help feeling she's making some bad choices. We saw her at the HPDH book party at Borders and I thought there weren't any problems. I didn't talk to her much, but we haven't really spoken much since we fought. Today, she sent the entire family an email, disowning us and her MIL sent us an email cursing us, calling my mother a fat, old, b*** and calling us a cult and bible thumpers and saying they were now my sister's family. She went on, with more insults and cursing. This isn't the first time one of her in-laws has cussed us out. Should we ignore the MIL email? It kinda scares me.

Met my first love we where both 15 when we met and married at 20 for 13 years. She told me that she fell out of love with me but will always love me. She fell in love witha guy at her work. Mine is re-tucking my children in before I go to bed, and kissing them on the forehead. Best of all, is if one should half wake up and see me and give me a sleepy smile and when I tell them that I love them, and they say it back that is the bit where my heart feels like bursting.
