I'd like to encourage her to leave her husband but she's scared to do it because he's already said he'll kill her. I know he owns a gun and I think he'd really do it. But I'm really worried that my grandchildren will grow up in this environment--the boy will think it's okay to abuse women and the girl will think it's normal to have a husband who yells at her and hits her. What would you do?

Hi guys, I really need some good sound advice. I have been with my current boyfriend for almost 3 years, and we have our ups and downs as usual. My ex got in touch with me a while ago, please believe me when i say we didn't part on bad terms, we just fell away from each other. anyway, he told me that he was ready for whatever i wanted (told me this back in feb) he knows that i have a bf and is happy just being friends. so i forgot all about it and carried on with my bf as normal, but on sunday, it all just hit me and now i've been thinking about my ex constantly and I realise that I still love him. I know that my bf treats me badly but I cant help loving him too, even though he is going to Ibiza with his friend instead of me, he's been saying that he wants to stay over there to work (dont know if he's kidding or not) and before sunday I didn't want him to stay away, now i'm secretly hoping that he does, as it clears the way for me. I dont want to be the one to break us up.

My sister's soon to be ex is threatening to take custody of her son. They have been living seperate since July 06 when he forced her to leave their home in GA. He states he has obtained a temporary custody order from FL where he is living now. She was never served papers for this to appear in court or that this decision was made, if he does have this, will this hold up in LA? Also, can he obtain a temporary custody order in LA without her being served or present in the court room? Both she and her son have been residents of Louisiana since he kicked them out in July 06. He has never lived in Louisiana. Also his name is not listed as the father on the birth certificate.

I still live in my mom's basement, and she's cool with me having chicks over, but I usually try to bring them over when she's at her book club, so I can just pretend it's my house. But sometimes mom is like, home, watching jeopardy or lawrence welk or something and I still want to have my way with a lady, but I don't want her to go upstairs because my mom might offer her milk and cookies and like, talk to her, you know what I'm saying?

So how can I tell the girl it's my house, but not let her go upstairs? I was thinking of saying I have fear of heights or someone died upstairs or something.

What do all my other basement dwelling bros do?

If a female friend says this to you, after a day out with mates:

"I hate to admit it, but it was good to see you again, it was just like the old days. We should definantly do it again".

I then said that I lost her number (her reaction wasn't happy!) and she said she'll txt me soon.... 2 mins later she txt me saying "thanks again for today, here's my number".

1. Did she miss me?

2. Is it significant as we didn't speak for 4 months? Contact only resumed this month really via email.(I got to close and broke contact-not wise I know!)

Ok, so theres this girl im with and she just recently told me she loves me, and i love her too. But yesterday, i kinda ran into my ex (My first love) online. (Bad timing huh?) and we hit it off pretty good after not talking for a year after she dumped me in the worst possible way. I think i may still have a little bit of feelings for my ex.

But no!!! I love this other girl too much to quit her. This girl is the girl i think may be "the one." The other girl's only special cuz she was my first love. But anywho, just wanted to share.

A few years ago when I was a teen, I had this guy who was AMAZING in my life. We were very close & really were perfect for eachother. He is definetly the one who got away though, I was too dumb to not take him for granted. I just thought he would always be there you know? But time went by & we simply slipped away. I haven't even seen him or talked to him in 2 years now.
My problem is that I really LOVE him. Its a waste of my time now that he isnt even in my life (& I cant find him). Throughout my whole LIFE I haven't met even one person who could even compare to him. As cheesy as this is, his soul was just...unexplanably beautiful. There is NOTHING better in this world.
I am not really pining over him or anything still, but I just can't seem to meet anyone who can even come close to that feeling I get from just the thought of him. I know I need to move on--and in most ways I have, but its just the comparison part & its not like I purposely compare him
How do you replace PERFECTION?

Hey well First of I am not gay, bi, curious or anything else like that. I don't know what the hell happened. I was hanging out talking with my fiance's dad got really drunk, and the next morning I woke up naked in bed with him. I know what you're gonna say that how do I know that we actually did anything together. Trust me I know. I wont say how, but I know. I just don't know what to do. We're getting married next month. I know I have to tell her. I also know it's really gonna **** things up. I just don't know how to tell her, or what to do.

with me sometime ( we all used to play together as kids, and have now grown up). Unfortunately, my friend wasn't at home at the time, so I told her mum that I'd be in touch with my friend at a later date. I decided to make a home made card and inside it, I put "Would you consider coming along with me one day to the shopping centre? If so, let me know when you're ready". I've not heard a thing. She's ignored my card and she still goes to the shops with other people. I feel so hurt when I see her walk down the road with others. She could have at least replied to my kind card. What should I do now?

The guy I like revealed a lot of stuff to me about his personal life during the first two months of our friendship. One of his secrets included the fact that his brother is gay and no one knows except his immediate family.

I didn't force him to tell me. We were just discussing our siblings and their relationships and at first he was reluctant to talk about it and when he told me he got real quiet and said he'd call me later.

Is this good or bad? Did he tell me this to get close to me or was he just trying to gain sympathy? I don't know if he was being genuine.

I'm 19 and he's 17 and we've been friends since Dec.06

What is your opinion on religious differences (or lack one partners lack of religion) in a marriage relationship? I am a Christian and I truly believe in the Bible's teachings. I happened to meet a young woman who I adore that does not have any religious background (She was under the impression that God had relations with Mary to create Jesus...which is actually a logical thought if you haven't read the account before). She consistently joins me to church but I am starting to feel like she is doing this purely to please me. I fear a relationship where the most important aspect of my life, my faith, is an aspect the will have to grow unsupported by my spouse if I decide to marry her. I know the Bible warns of relationships w/ non-believers being difficult but difficult does not mean impossible and I think she is worth the work. Any advice or comments would be appreciated, not only for answers, but to broaden my perspective.

I wrote it for my friends son that is in the hospital.
You taught me how to love and laugh, each time you made me smile.
You showed me where to find my tears, hadn't cried for awhile.
Each chance I get to see you,my soul it shouts with joy.
Gus, a man of respect, not a little boy.
I love to watch your mother read,to you a book you like.
The both of you togethers love, still lingers throughout the night.
I still miss the days I helped you out,if I had the chance I'd do it again.
Not because of your situation, because I love you and you my friend.
Each day I think about you, even the whatevers you tell me and say.
Each time your voice would speak those words,in your sarcastic little way.
These words I could speak to anybody,to many each line would not be true.
But I had to give them like this,Because I could not say these words to you.
So as I end my little rhyme, written with love and truth.
You took a man with anger and hate, and reunited him with his youth.
