I have a former best friend. We've known each other for about four years. But he's just wasting away his life having fun while I've already graduated and am working (I'm younger by two years), and our view points and lifestyles are now vastly different. We've drifted apart, especially since he left me all alone in a foreign country (to which I had never previously been) and other nasty passive attacks against me for rejecting his affections. Now he has tuberculosis (TB) and is in the hospital. I'm afraid of contracting it and quite frankly feel we both have completely nothing in common anymore. I'm extremely busy with work and my boyfriend coming over from Australia. Also, he keeps asking me for money and has become eerily money-obsessed. Is it really so bad that I won't be visiting him? I know they sound like excuses, but I feel they're valid ones.

Isnt it scarry to believe you are all alone when the lights are off why just not believe there is someone with you all the time taking care of you and not letting you be all alone well that is what it feels like when you live alone what do you think?

I am really curious about this because I always see funny scenes in comedies where there are men crying themselves to sleep... most recently in the movie Borat... I was wondering since they make a joke about it in movies so often, do men ever actually cry themselves to sleep or is this exclusively a women thing? Is there anyone out there who has not cried his or herself to sleep?

I have been pursuing a lady for a while. She hasn't wanted to know until just recently and we've been having some very flirtatious and sometimes suggestive chat over IM.

But now I'm thinking if she's involved with someone else and is being like this with me now, is she trustworthy (not that she's actually done anything with me)? Or is she simply looking to move on now to better things?

i have liked this girl since i moved to this town, well i fnially got her to come into my house, the first thing she said was "i could never date you because you have everything" my gifts would be trash, she dont even know i like her, but she siad that, then she had to use the bathroom, and i had Clinique makeup, 4 bottles of day and night toothpaste, all kinds of lotin, 14 bottles of body wash, finger cleanser, feat brushes, face cleanser, its my bathroom, and it was spotless, not a drop on either sinks nor shower, she came out and said i was more girly then her, and she asked me and she was seriosu, she asked me if i was gay, and im nto, now she treats me diffrent and tells ppl theres makeup in my bathrrom, and i dont wear it only when i have a minor breakout or sumthing. what do i doooooo?

It seems to be socially acceptable for a woman to take advantage of a fat guy's desperation and horniness and use him for monetary advantage but when a guy take's advantage of a fat woman's poor self esteem and insecurity to get sex he's made out as some sort of monster.

He said that in the beginning when he started work 2 years ago he would think about me whenever he had a second at work to think about me, and now that he is busier at work he doesn't think about me until he is off or work (he is an architect). I asked him "So the busier you get, the less you think of me?" and he said "maybe". This made me sad because I like to think that he thinks of me during the day - and I guess I was wrong thinking that he would. I'm hurt just because I feel like he lost those lil' feelings for me where he can't stop thinking of me. We've been together for 2 years. Am i just being dumb? I hate fighting with him and he said that this is a dumb topic to be arguing about.

I have a friend who is disabled and living on a fixed income..Her grown children go and drop off the babies at grandmas and never offer to pay her or buy her aloaf of bread.When she told them that she needed help with money they got angry.They said Grandmothers werent supposed to charge.They were really teed off.She tried to explain that she didnt mind watching them and she loved them but that she needed a little help.. she told them that they dont have to worry about their kids being abused or ever being hungry wet of neglected.I have seen that those babies prefer the grandma over the parents.They cry when they leave her.My question is this why do kids think its ok to take advantage of a grandparent.Especially that of one with limited income.?Dont you think the right thing to do is pay the grandma.Even if its only to keep peace of mind..Is it wrong for a grandmother to charge family?

I met her in a class last semester. She's not too pretty, but pretty average. I didn't find her attractive as a few other girls in class. Anyways, we met because we both had signed up for the study group. And one time it happened to be just us, and we had some good chat. I never talked to her outside of school even after the semester was over. Let's just say that I could care less if she liked me. The point is: last Monday she called me and left a message saying that she saw me at school, wasn't able catch up to me. I didn't respond until today. I called her once and after a few rings, she picked up. We talked for a while, and then before leaving, I asked her to meet me up for lunch next week at a certain time. She responded saying that she had class until after that time, so then I waited for her to suggest meeting afterwards, and I agreed. Date confirmed. I have a strong feeling that she feels more interested in me than my interest for her.

I tell most people that my big sister is dead to me, here's why, my mom died on the 22nd Jan 2007, she didn't even come to the wake,she was there for the funeral but she didn't come home,she hasn't even come home since mom died and take in mind that my mom is her biological mother too. I am just so pissed off at her! she didn't even love her as much as I did she used to call her maggots behind her back ! and i think she acting like a big b i t c h y a s s !

Okay... I started dating this guy three months ago and I thought everything was great. He told me he liked me, thought I was beautiful, and cared about me. He owns a business and he might lose it soon due to finances and has been super stressed out. I have tried to give support, encouragement, or just space when he needs it and be respectful of the situation. He also just divorced a few months ago and I wonder if that has anything to do with it too. Tonight I called cuz I hadn't heard from him in a few days and he said he was having a horrible week and needed to focus on his business and nothing else. I said okay and tried to be really nice to him. He just seemed frustrated and I told him he doesn't have to "go it alone," that his friends and me care for him. He told me he doesn't need a gf right now and broke up with me. Said I deserve better. I told him he doesn't know what I need or deserve. I really liked him. I am so hurting and crying all night. I'm asking for a friend. She didn't want to post it, I'm posting it for her. here it is.....
would you say I'm in love? I think about this same guy almost 24/7 a day. he was my Dr only once a week for over a year and through out that whole year I've been in total love he was always on my mind. My chemistry is high, I know he felt it, I felt that he felt the same way about me, but the only big problem is.....is that he's single and I'm not and have children. I still talk to him over the Internet but I would never tell him how I felt cause I'm sure he felt it.. he hasn't been my doctor now for a couple of months now and I'm a mess, I feel total love sick. what should I do? and I don't get along to good with my husband ,but i would never cheat I don't think. And I don't even think my ex Doc would go for that.
what do you think my friend should do?
