Is crying yourself to sleep something everybody does once in a while?

I am really curious about this because I always see funny scenes in comedies where there are men crying themselves to sleep... most recently in the movie Borat... I was wondering since they make a joke about it in movies so often, do men ever actually cry themselves to sleep or is this exclusively a women thing? Is there anyone out there who has not cried his or herself to sleep?

I am sure people sometimes cry themselves to sleep. For various reasons. Either a break up of a marriage or bf/gf, a death in the family, or a friend. It's not just a woman thing. Men have tear ducts, and woman was made from man. Besides that, I do know a man who he and I have cried together at times. Not necessariy to sleep, but we have cried together.

Well, they are humans too. Sometimes we underestimate men about being emotional. Men are very much capable of feeling the same things women feel. The difference is that they handle situations differently.

I have a friend who is a teacher that told us he was in ww2. HE said he was on the front lines+ scared to death and would cry his self to sleep.---------AND i have cried my self to sleep when my life was heavy .
