I am one year older than my boyfriend. We have been together for a year now and i have been fine with not going out and spending most of my time with him. I am in my second semester of freshman year in college, and I have yet been to a club, party or anything. I barely have any friends on campus(mind you I live on campus). Now I want to go out but when I explain this to Him he always has this way of making me feel guilty. He tells he doesn't want be haging out with wild girls and dudes. I wonder sometimes does he think that I am a child who needs guidence and is easily influenced. Do you think he'd comply it if it was the other way around.whats going on? I love him but I feel so lost.
Ladies and fellas I need your veiw on this situation!

That is the question. The term madness, meaning this month is very
active. Legend has it, that this is the time of change in seasons, along
with humanity. Mood swings, outdoor spending, vacations, etc. As well
as NCAA basketball, of course. Spring is almost here, so if you are a
manic depressive, your time has come. The warmer weather affects
our daily life, and our attitudes. Do you like this time of year ? Best
answer wins.

this guy for 3 months and they have good conversation and spend time together,he is
not someone who she would usually talk to because he dosen,t have a job.then she
was dating this one guy like 6 months ago because at the time she said she wasn,t
ready now this guy is very stable and only wants one woman meaning very faithful

they still talk and want to be the child God father,my question is should she stay with
the new guy even though she still feel for the other guy because the new guy is ok

I was asking my female friend about a girl who would only hang out and make out with me but nothing farther. I ask her opinion if it's just a signal that she just wants to be friends. What do you think?

"Until you say you want a relationship with her, most girls are just assuming you want nothing more than a casual make-out partner. The truly psychotic ones will assume your Random Make-Out Sessions (or RMOS) are a sign you want to father their children, but us normal chicks are just assuming you don't want a commitment. If you really like this girl, speak up and tell her so. You don't have to proclaim your undying love for her, just be honest about your feelings and the rest will sort itself out from there."

Why do woman always give subtle hints when being direct makes a whole lot more since? For example if you want something why not just ask for it, instead of giving subtle hints? A lot of men would rather you be direct than subtle, and a lot of men wont pick up on your subtle hints. Then you ladies get mad at us because we didn't pick up on your signals.

If a person brags they have 120 days of sobriety.
Isnt this not good for their own sobriety bragging about it Isnt that having an ego? And this person is married and unhappy with her spouse and is asking orther single men in AA to go to a movies or lunch with them. And they only have 4 months sobriety.Do you think thats a good idea for some one new in the program thats married?

I'm 20 (in school), been on one date. ALWAYS too shy to approach girls I like. I had a crush on the same girls for 3 years of highschool, and never spoke to her once...

I'm a good looking guy (so I've been told) so ugly isn't the problem.

I got drunk one night at a 'friends' house. I had been over there before, and this guy I know had made it seem like we were just friends and he would look out for me. The next morning, I wake up in his bed(where I had passed out before and nothing had happened), and seems like he had had sex with me. I remember crying at some point, but can't remember anything else. Is this rape? Now I hear he has a history of this type of thing. I don't remember giving consent and never would have, I wasn't interested in him like that. It has been over a month. If it is rape, is there anything I can do? I already know I am stupid for putting myself in that situation, but I need advice. Can I press charges, will they stick?

I have been in and out of relationships all my life. The longest relationship I had was two years, next to that is about 6 months. I am nearly 30. Whilst I have put on weight recently which is slowly coming off (one of the worlds injustices that you can put on weight so much faster than you can take it off!) I am not unattractive, and like I said never really been without romance or male attention. I am bright, funny and I have a lot of friends, and being an engineer am a bit of a tomboy and have some very good male friends. I just don't seem to be able to maintain a long term relationship. It's like there is some trick I just haven't been told about... so on the off chance that I should have asked - what is the trick to making relationships last?

I broke up (impulsively) with my boyfriend of 2 years because a lot of things that matter to me, don't seem to matter to him. He is 5 years older than me (I'm 23), established in his career and focused on buying a house and getting married. It seems, that anything NOT in that line of thought is simply beneath him, even though he'd never SAY that. I'm 23, in college, and still enjoy being a social butterfly. I don't club hop or hang out with guys but I have A LOT of girlfriends. This seems to be where the friction comes from. ANYWAY...so I ended it this morning. Does this sound like a permanate problem, or something two people could work out??? (PS: we live together)

2007-03-07 04:58:23 · 18 answers · asked by Anonymous in Singles & Dating

He broke up with me among other reasons because of the distance; I'm in New York; he's in Tokyo. We started dating in Tokyo, then I had to move to NY last Sep and we dated long dist. The break up was not mutual, but it was open ended, in that he did not completely rule out the possibility of getting back together once I moved back to Tokyo. I'm moving back to Tokyo to start work there in May; he doesn't know that yet. He wanted to be friends and as friends, he would email me at the same rate, he said, and I can call him on the phone, we can meet in Tokyo "as friends". But since the break up a few weeks ago he is responding quicker to my emails, initiating conversations, and he writes me: "[my name], hello. [my name], fundamentally there is no problem. [my name], by the way now are you coming to Japan in April?" I am wondering why he wants to know whether I'm coming back to Japan and why is he talking to me more than when we were dating? When I asked him, he said there is no one new.

I thought this guy liked me. I wasn’t sure, but the signs seemed to be there. He was always staring at me and looked away when I caught him, called me occasionally for stupid reasons, would sometimes mess around with me, make fun of me (in a nice way), would sit by my in class but wouldn’t talk to me. Thing is, this guy is a jerk. A huge, obnoxious, jerk. He has been really mean to the girls he’s gone for.
This was a few months ago. Then I started to like HIM. Somehow this *****, his friend, heard about it and said the guy would never get with me. A few weeks ago, she, and maybe him, were spreading rumors and making me look pathetic. Now he ignores me or is even mean to me. I think he might be starting to like this other girl too. I don’t know what to do. Did he like me? Is he unattracted to me now? Could I still get him? Is it too late?

Is there a double-standard among men/women living with their parents and are in their 20's? If a man were 22 staying with mom/dad, he'd get ridiculed (by men and women alike). Is it not equally loserish? I moved away from my parents at age 18. I'm in my early 20's now and have been on my own ever since. She doesn't even think there's anything wrong with it. She said she'll probably live with her mom another 5 years or more. And I believe it's going to be the "or more."

She also drops in and out of school periodically, and moves from job to job. Currently she's unemployed and just stays on the internet.
