I am happy! I have a great life - but you can't settle for less.
When I was single I had come out of a relationship broken hearted.
It took me myself and I to get up and shake off the sadness and focus on what I wanted. I met my husband on a whim and it was "fate". I gave up looking too (that helps)! When you least expect it.

Life has not always been easy. I hated the first few years of marriage. I loved being married, I hated how much I missed being near my parents, or my old job and my old friends. We moved away due to a better job opportunity. I also had horrible complications from my first child's labor/delivery. Talk about strain.
But over time those set backs mold you to be wiser. You can look back on those times and say "wow, remember when". I believe all those bad times happen for a reason and try to do more good things in life -

I am also fortunate to stay home to raise my kids (not always easy or fun) and I appreciate how fast life goes.
I left a job recently where my boss made me sick inside and it affected me and my family. The $ and time and her nature wasn't worth it. I am slowly working at home and for myself not easy but so stress free.

What do you want out of life ? Travel more? Book or save for that trip? If your marriage is poor, why? Find out why.
People deserve to be happy. Do one thing a day to make you happy. If people make you unhappy try to cut them out of your life (gently) the only person who can make yourself happy is you.
So start with #1.

Great question. A few years ago I was really bummed because a younger cousin was actually living the life that I had imagined for myself when I was a teenager. I was really down on myself for that. But now, circumstances are completely different. I have a great marriage, two beautiful daughters, and the courage to really try to do what I've always wanted to do. I also have a relationship with God that has helped me put all things in perspective. So, yes, I am truly happy.

Oh, I definitely settled for less, and I have learned my lesson very well. My husband doesn't appreciate me, and after 3 years I am leaving him in two months. I have already found someone better- actually I found him 7 years ago when we first met and almost started dating. But I don't regret it, because my husband gave me my son, and I love him to death and wouldn't know who I am without him.

Wanting more and more will often lead to disaster. It's good to keep your self grounded and practical at times. If settling means being UNHAPPY! then I say there needs to be some changes.

There are lots of people who would laugh at the possibility of changing their fates. This is because it believes that no one gets more that what is written in his destiny.
