Why do woman always give subtle hints when being direct makes a whole lot more since? For example if you want something why not just ask for it, instead of giving subtle hints? A lot of men would rather you be direct than subtle, and a lot of men wont pick up on your subtle hints. Then you ladies get mad at us because we didn't pick up on your signals.

Men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Ladies, read this guy's post carefully and take a few hints from it. He is spot on right. We as women need to learn to communicate better with our men if we expect our needs and desires to be met. Men are direct-they want to form a solution and move on it. Tell them directly how you feel and don't drop hints and signals and then get mad when they can't read your mind!

You said "Why do woman always" which is incorrect right off the bat. Women don't "always" do anything and neither do men. Be careful about making blanket statements...they are almost always wrong.
Now, for the women that do go for subtlety instead of directness, it can be frustrating. Men and women communicate differently. It's always been thus. Some women expect guys to be mindreaders, and that's unfair...women that hint around DO need to learn to be more direct. If you, as a guy, ask a woman what's up and she says nothing or does not respond, then you've done your part...if she wants to hint instead of just being up front, then she's got no right to be angry if you don't miraculously figure out what her issue is.
Don't pander to women who behave that way, and they'll learn quickly enough to spit it out or suffer in silence.

It's a female thing. Some women feel they have to hint around while others, including me, come right out and ask. I rather be direct because some men don't get a hint.

Humans are afraid of rejection - a subtle hint rather than going direct cushions the gravity of the rejection.
If you are not picking up signals maybe you should study harder!

A lot of women like men to pursue them, and a lot of men love that challenge. It is part of human nature. If you keep finding yourself in this kind of situation, and don't like it, start checking out a different kind of girl. Someone who comes across as being very direct in other aspects of life. Or take the direct approach yourself, and just spell it out for the girl you like, as to what you want, or what you are hoping to happen in your relationship. Communication is always the key. To every relationship. To life in general.

Well it's simple, women fear rejection more than anything. Hoping with sending the right subtle hints, it'll keep us women out of being rejected.

Women give hints either:
1) she likes you or
2) she doesn't want to sound forward.
I know that when I tell a guy directly that I like him, it scares him away from me, so I try to give only hints at most. Most of the time, I try hiding that fact.
I hope this helps!

Because we want you to want to (for example) open the door for us. If we have to ask you to do it, it doesn't mean as much. Sure, if we asked you right out, we'd get what we wanted more often. But it wouldn't mean as much to us as it does when the idea seems to come from you.
I know, women can be a pain, but you love us anyway ;)

while i think some women hint at it.. in hopes that the boy will pick it up on his own.. so it seems more sincere or something? and then he kinda thought up all on his own yah know?
its silly and women should be more direct as men don't understand women speak

Haha i completly agree alot of girls are just shy i guess.
But coming right out and saying something would make alot more sense
Maybe men should learn to catch on to these hints?...
