He broke up with me among other reasons because of the distance; I'm in New York; he's in Tokyo. We started dating in Tokyo, then I had to move to NY last Sep and we dated long dist. The break up was not mutual, but it was open ended, in that he did not completely rule out the possibility of getting back together once I moved back to Tokyo. I'm moving back to Tokyo to start work there in May; he doesn't know that yet. He wanted to be friends and as friends, he would email me at the same rate, he said, and I can call him on the phone, we can meet in Tokyo "as friends". But since the break up a few weeks ago he is responding quicker to my emails, initiating conversations, and he writes me: "[my name], hello. [my name], fundamentally there is no problem. [my name], by the way now are you coming to Japan in April?" I am wondering why he wants to know whether I'm coming back to Japan and why is he talking to me more than when we were dating? When I asked him, he said there is no one new.

don't know...he may be looking at your time table to make sure that he can date and what ever b4 you get back. I would just let him know, that you are coming back around May, and maybe once you get settled, then you could just hook up as FRIENDS ONLY. Just make sure that he is not looking for another relationship, and same for you. Play a little hard to get as far as the dating goes....this way you don't seem so eager, and make you more of a challenge to him...and we all know guys like a little challenge.

if he emails u its cuz he has feels for u and if u still like him don't let him go u never know u were ment to be together

i think he realizes that he misses yu and he took yu for granted. now u lot aren't togetha he sees what he misses and he all along in japan.
has a guy, i think he jus wants you for sex. so dont even think about going.(even tough your going in may) respect your self and dont fall 4 that trap
