A lot of teenagers these days seem to feel the need to fit in. Not all, but a lot. But what I don't get is why? Sure, you'll be popular for like your middle school and high school years... But are your 'friends' really even real friends? Or do they talk bad behind your back everytime you walk away? Why would someone change to have friends when they wouldn't be real friends in the first place? All you would do would grow up lonely because your 'friends' don't even like you to begin with and you won't even know who your true self is...

I have a lot of friends. I wouldn't exactly consider myself 'popular', but I'm myself. And the people who know me, love me for who I am, and we get along so good cause I'm so random and they love it. I'm so much more happy with my life when I used to be when I tried fitting in... And I have so many more real friends... And it's a great feeling.

My problem is I want to eventually experience other women. BUT, I love my wife and my financial situation as it is right now.

Why should one have to give up a good woman and a great lifestyle to experience all that life has to offer? And If she asked for the same, I would allow it no questions asked.

I have read about swinging and all that , but not sure If I would want to actually know the girl. I'm just down for the dirty stuff if you know what I mean.

And yes, STD's are a real possibility. I know this and you don't have to preach. But you take this risk at any time that you are being promiscous.

Life is weird and people change. Back when I first got married, the thought did not occur to me that I would want to sleep with X amount of women before settleing down. Seems like you do the right thing and you always end up screwing yourself out of something.

The thing I hate most is that people that have had thier "FUN" are the first to put me down for being human.

My daughters have at least one roommate that they would like us to invite to the party, but we are not sure about doing that due to some questionable past history with him. He seems to have turned himself around from that, but still we cannot help but remember the past. What I was wondering is whether we should "bite the bullet" and invite him even though we are not entirely comfortable with that or hope that our daughters would understand our reasoning if we chose not to invite him. Since this is mostly a family and close friends type of occasion I am not sure what to do next and I have to get the invitations out within the next few days. Any reasonable advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

ok i've read flirting articles and im not a bad flirt myself. but there is a girl i know that has done every flirting technique i know with me. nobody else. just me. but when i asked her out. she told me she wants to keep the friendly relationship more than a dating relationship. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? she has been out with other people. sure i have talked to her for 3 years without asking her out. but i went out of my way to get to know her enough to ask her out and she turns me down! she has just recently (before i asked her out) started flirting with me really bad. she touches my hand when we talk. she looks in my eyes. SHE EVEN MAKES A BIG DEAL AND COMMENTS ABOUT MY EYES TO LET ME KNOW SHE IS LOOKING AT MY EYES!!!! yet. i ask her out and she says friends is better. what friends flirt, go out, hug, but dont start dating? i wanna know. help me please someone. i want her as mine!!! i want to fight the kids staring at her. i want to hold her under the stars. so help me please!

I am 6 moths pregnant and am not married yet to my fiancee. We will be married April 1st and our baby is due in June. Today he got a summons in the mail to appear in court to be tested for the paternity of 1 child by his ex girlfriend who cheated on him alot and also told him the child wasnt his because the dates didnt match. ( why she said that, i do not know- because i have seen pictures of this baby who is about 3 months old and she looks just like my fiancee, and we are pretty sure it is his).. And if the baby IS his then they will decide on child support. Right now he makes about 3,000/month but brings home about 2,100 after taxes and insurance and all. He has no dependants because we are not yet married and OUR baby is not born yet. So after our baby is born in June, we will also be married and this will be 2 dependants he will then have.. Will he need to go back to court to get it adjusted? Or do courts not count the fact that a person has more than themself to take care of??

I live in the U.S. I have a daughter that is not old enough to date (by my rules). I am interested in the opinion of other parents as to when they have allowed or will allow their child to begin dating. If you are not in the U.S., please indicate what country you are from (interesting to see if the age varies by country)

She is turning thirteen this year, and she talks to items in her room. I find this disturbing, but when I confront her she tells me it's normal. She talks all night long to her teddies, blankets, pictures on her walls, and sometimes even the television. I'm worried about her, I fear that something might be wrong in her head. Should a girl turning thirteen be doing this? I know it's not one of those "Oh no! I'm going to be a teenager soon, I want to be a kid as long as possible!" things, because shes been doing it for almost four years. It was just a few monthes ago I actually realized she was doing it all the time. I'm worried. Does anyone know if there might be something wrong with her?
I regret saying this, but is she going crazy?
I love her, and I'm so worried.

There's a cute, attractive girl who likes me. She's very open, likes to be around a lot of people all the time, and seems to drink a little bit too much sometimes. I, on the other hand, am more closed, quiet, introverted. I do have tight bonds with a few people, but for the most part, I keep to myself often and meet very few new people. I also don't like to drink often and I really don't like to be in areas with a lot of people all the time (parties). Should I not go for the cute party-girl, or should I just find someone who's more like me--quiet, shy, etc.? I really don't know what I should do. Perhaps, this girl can get me to be more open, but I don't know if I'll feel comfortable making such a change so quickly.

I know this guy from third grade. We didn't start socializing until 9th grade. We were fine at first, but he misinterpreted my amiability and with the support of a girl with which i am virtually enemies with, he planned to asked me out. I had recieved word of this in the morning and avoided him the whole day. After succeeding, he managed still managed to ask me over the phone. I was bewildered that he did not get my message and I explained to him kindly adding that I only saw him as a friend. I ignored him for a while to give him time to get over me but after a few months we were good friends again. Then while I was on my way to a class he walked up to me and told me that he had to ask me something. I saw his nervous face and tried to stop him from asking me. Starting to get nervous I said," no don't ask me" and ran away. I ignored him for for a while again, but once more we became friends. Today, the same thing happened again. I still want to be friends with him. What do i do?

It's major things to me that end up coming out in a huge fight. One thing he hid was that he smoked weed every once in a while. Another was that his ex-girlfriend sent him an e-mail. Am I wrong for getting upset over these "secrets"? I mean what else is he capable of hiding from me?

of killing myself so that he comes home and finds me. It would ruin the kids though, because god knows how long they would be alone with the body. This is something I have thought about before, I just don't see the point anymore. Struggle to make a nice life only to feel disappointed all the time. Why bother?
