I’m from east and all the time we’ve been taught that this western culture is good for nothing when it comes to human realationships….specially when it comes to sensitive issues like “love and marriage”

“People in the west consider love is a matter of finding someone to pass the time…a means of fulfilling sexual needs.”
“And ‘marriage’ isn’t something ‘unique’ and ‘meaningful’ to them as it is to people in east. AND that’s the very reason for marriages of western guys to collapse in good 2-5 years…where almost good 75-80% of eastern marriages stays unbroken life long”

So that’s what normally eastern people think of western culture….

So is this thinking true….or is it not?

just feel free to jot down your ideas…coz I believe that it will allow us to correct our way of thinking at the end of the day…

Ok ... jokingly I tell him that I didn't sign up for all this, housework and chores and being his financial adviser and medical adviser and business adviser!! All I signed up for was the "love" part - ha-ha!
Well, he tells me "If you don't like it -- LEAVE!"
I explain to him that no woman wants to hear the word LEAVE, all a I want to hear is that the he appreciates all my work and never wants me to leave because he loves me so much.
But nooooooooo, I don't hear thaaaaaat, maybe I SHOULD leave?

About 4 days After i broke up with him i called to to tell him that i still loved him and that i thought i made a terrible mistake, but he said he just wanted to be friends...so now we see each other around school but i cant talk to him i'm still angry about our whole relationship and at the same time i love him sooo very much...i dont think i can handle all of these emotions....what should i do....i catch him looking at me all the time but he never does nething....

Most of the times guys that I don't like seem to be the most persistent. A guy came up to me and kept asking me for my number. I told him I was taken and he kept on asking about my boyfriend and if we could at least be friends. Is he slow or somethin? Also, guys that I'm not interested in can't read the signs that I give out which means that I'm not interested. For instance, not calling them a lot, not giving them compliments when they give me one, and or even trying to avoid them by rushing to go somewhere or keeping the conversation short. I could tell when a guy is into me, but why can't some of them tell that I'm not into them?

okay well there is this one girl that i like alot and we are pretty good friends. I want to tell her that i like her and maybe if she likes me back i could ask her out. Alot of the time it seems like she likes me but i could be wrong. I havent had a girlfriend in about a year and ive been extremely lonely so i really want to go out wiht her.

So im pretty much confused as to what to do. Shoudl i tell her that i like her? Okay, So , My best friend started hanging out with one of our other friends more than me, just out of no where. When he would come to me, usually, now he just walks past me, and now every little thing that he is better than me at , or his new "best" friend, he exaggerates and makes it seem like he is better than me. what should I do ? I will make this short. I used to be madly in love with this guy. He knew it too. He just pretended like it was nothing. I told him and even bought him donuts and a hat. I tried to talk to him for two years..then gave up. A year passed and I hadn't seen him then this past January he showed up at my job. We talked for awhile, then asked me to add him to my myspace so I did. So lately he's been sending me messages. I know he's flirting with me, he asked me out and he asked me for my number. I gave it to him. He didn't call. I didn't make a big deal about it. When he messaged me again he asked for it again, he said he "lost it" so i gave it to him again. He also claimed that he had been to my job several times and hadn't seen me..so he asked where I was. The next day he showed up at my work in the morning .we talked and we flirted for like an hour. Then he left...later on he sent me another message on myspace..when are we gonna go out. i wrote back..no reply..no call..

I'm not having a really formal wedding, somewhere in between formal and casual. I don't want a train on my dress unless it's a really short one. I kinda wanted to wear a veil though... not too long of course... my question is this: I don't really want to have the veil covering my face until "You may now kiss the bride"... I'd rather just have it back the entire time... is this normal? Has anyone done it before? Or will it look inappropriate? Please send your opinions...

My friend is really scaring me. She is depressed and not happy. She is usually hyper, funny, and nice. Now she is grumpy never smiles and so on. She sees a counsler but it doesnt seem to be working. I try to help but i dont want to make it worse and people say stay out of it but how can i not worry?? She is one of my best friends. I don't think she has had thoughts of killing herself (thank god!) but what do i do???? PLEASE HELP!!!

I am a freshman in highschool and sometimes I feel like a loner. I don't hang out with the group of friends I use to in middle school, and I don't really talk to the people in my classes. Sometimes it bothers me that I don't have very many friends anymore, but at the same time I don't really care. I just don't feel like talking to the people in my classes and I actually prefer to work alone. I also walk alone to all of my classes and I only hang out with one friend at lunch. However, what's weird is that I always feel depressed at school, but then during 6th period when I have track and at home I am very happy and full of energy. I am a nice person and easy to get along with, but is it that I always have to approach people instead of them talking to me? What should I do?

My boyfriend proposed tonight. The ring is a little on the big size. I would rather it be tighter because for one, it moves around a lot, and also because I'm afraid I'm going to lose it.

He said it will take 3 weeks to resize it though at Sears. I don't understand why it would take so long when other people on here said it only takes a few days. He thought to maybe take it to another jeweler, but he said that might void the warranty.

What do you think?
