It is sweet of you to want to help.Find yourself a baby sitting job or a paper route or in the summer you could mow lawns or help people plant there flower gardens.Just sit down and think of things that you could do at your age .Like wash cars or rake leaves. There are a lot of things a 13yr old can do to make money. You sound smart so use your noodle!!!

Ok well first you just calm down. Thats the key is being calm. Now, go to your office and ask if they have any work permits available or if they know where you can get them. Once you get your work permit apply for part time jobs in places that allow you to be that young with a work permit. (Pupnsuds is a great place). After that go to a park or local place and pick up any aluminum cans you find and put them in a bag. Take them to your recycle building or rec- center and get money for them. Also, find any clothes or ANYTHING that you dont want and/or need anymore and hold a 2-day garage sale. Give all the money to your parents. I wish you luck! (I've been where you are before and I know it sucks but like I said, be calm and you'll be ok)

Sound like your family doesnt have their priorities strait. House renovations are not quite a necesity. But I applaude that you are willing to help your family, I'm sure you can find a job, but dont forget that going to school and studing hard is your real responsability and this is a good way you are helping your family.
Your parents in the other hand need to put their priorities in order and fix it.

You could get a job but more importantly help out by saving and not asking for stuff.
They can't expect to buy everything for the house all at one time.
It takes a plan in order to manage the household improvements.
See if there are things that could be postponed like painting a bedroom or changing carpets etc..

it's not that bad! your over dramatizing the situation.. if your folks work.. then there is a monthly income coming in... any job you could take like a retail clothing store would make a difference yes, but saving money around the house would too, turning off lights in rooms that one one is in. taking quick showers and turning down the water temp on the water heater.. or furnace in the daytime..these things will save as much as you would make in some lame *** job making minimum wage.. energy costs in a home are huge every month there are a lot of ways to save money and that is the same as bringing money in.. if your parents have more stuff to buy. it will happen when they can afford it.
don''t stress out cupcake.. just do your best to help out and help them to save money around the house..but don;t brag about it..just do it silently and you will know you are helping in your own little wey ..and if you want to get a job to help out then do it..

I'm so sorry about your family being bankrupt. My family is struggling with the fact that they're improving our house but my mom is the only one working. My dad is struggling to find a job. So I think that you should get a baby-sitting job. Put up flyers around your school maybe in the newspaper.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

There's really not too many jobs you can legally do at 13. Pretty much babysitting, paper route, lawn mowing and/or shoveling, maybe running errands for older people who have trouble doing it themselves, That's all I can think of. Good Luck!!

here are some ideas. babysitting, pet sitting, pet walking, doing light housework for older people, being a companion to anyone who needs one. there are lots of things you can do. i do not think you can get a job where you get an actual pay check, just helping people do things they cannot or do not want to do themselves. you can make signs and post them around your town.
