The old saying "if you can't be a good example be a great warning" comes to mind here! Just give the facts only! In other words, say "this is your father. This is your father being stupid. Any questions?

You need to discuss this with your husband. Than your husband needs to change his behavior, and than he needs to explain to the child why his behavior is wrong. It would be wrong of you to tell your child how bad daddy is, the child would be hurt and very confused, because that is someone who he loves very much. If the behavior is really not good, you need to consider your child's well-being, and take more serious steps. The child is the most important person here.
