I recently became the sole breadwinner in our household. We have no children and my husband has agreed to stay home. His role is to focus on homemaking. He was a dept store clerk and I am a lawyer. When we have children, he would be the stay at home parent, so it makes a lot of sense.

Anyway, he has been doing a good job. However one problem is dinner. Every night he is calling me up asking me what he should cook for dinner. At first, I gave him instructions on what to make. However he is doing the grocery shopping, so he has a better idea on what to cook.

I've told him several times I need for him to step up. Today I blew up with him on the phone. I explained to him that meal preparation is HIS responsibility and I expect him to plan as well as cook (and clean up after) the meal.

Was I wrong to put this expectation on him? Was I wrong to finally snap?

with our daughter after not having any contact with her for a year, he last saw her when she was 1. he just simply stopped calling etc. Then i received a letter from a solicitor stateing he wishes to see our child and shares the same rights as i do as his name is on the birth cert, however it is also filled with lies as to how it has only been a few months and that i stopped access to her. I wrote back explaining the info your client gave was false and i would only allow supervised visitations in a family contact centre to start with as he is basically a stranger to our daughter. I havent heard anything back and its been 2 weeks now. I am worried that this man has the right to keep entering and leaving our daughters life and i have no power to stop this from happening. any advice?

Me and my girlfriend have been dating for about 1 and a half yers now and i know that we are made for each other, i want to purpose some where romantic(not paris) i thought of ontop of a mountain while its snowing and maybe while swimming with dolphins and have the dolphin bring the ring to her! what do you think?

I'm getting married possibly late this year, or early next. We want a Calamity Jane theme to our wedding, but I have no idea how to go about getting a dress (I'm after similar to the one Calamity wears to the dance), so obviously even if I find a dressmaker, there's no pattern to work with. Has anyone got any ideas?
We won't have a lot of money, but as this is second time around for both of us, we want to make a special thing of it, but not necessarily in the traditional way. All advice would be welcomed. I'm in the South East of England.

Need some advice... me and my girl of 8 years have had a great relationship up until about 3 weeks ago when I was suspecting she was cheating on me, when she needed some help from a guy to get on the police department. She said all it was, was him helping her and nothing else. Yet, she was hiding text messages, calls, and emails.

Well everything went back to normal and I am fine. But I brought it up tonight, I told her just to tell me. I guess we took a "break" about 2 weeks ago and thats when I was suspecting maybe she messed around with him. She swore up and down she didn't.

Tonight, I said jokingly, "if we broke up, after 9 years, and the next day I had sex with another woman, would you be mad?" She said, "no, I would have no right to be, we weren't together." Keep in mind the few day break we took about 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, I know it comes down to trust, but she's done this before.

What do you all think??

My man left his wife 10 months ago but is still paying her mortgage, utilities, car note and car insurance, totalling about $3500 per month. That disturbs me. My BGF says that it means that he still is interested in her. He says that he is not and has asked for divorce but he is not filing because she said that she will add me to the lawsuit and make it as messy as possible. I know that he could be lying but what if he isn't? Is there some other reason that he would pay all of this every month?

My sister says she doesn't want to live with us anymore because we don't respect what she wants (We don't like her bf and the bonsai tree which contains insects to be near us or we don't want to help her protect it). My brother hates us because he doesn't find peace in having a sufficient laptop for his online games (he wants a high powered computer and etc when the one he has works pretty good).

I believe my family is falling apart except for my mom, my little sister and me. My older sister and brother always fight and are upset with what is given to them even though it's okay to live with what we have (we have a roof to sleep under, food, and each other whom we should love and respect). This is not happening. How can I make them see the beauty in having life at all and as a family? Honestly, this is getting out of hand >.< Thank you!

One of my friends, who incidentally is an ex, is leaving forever in a couple of days. I wont see him after tomorow and we've had a strange relationship-rocky, but still good friends. We have been quite close recently. (Note: I have NO feelings for him, other than as a friend) He is a major flirt, can be slightly two faced and jus annoying sometimes. I've always wanted to tell him this, because of his arrogance and in the hope he'll see how other people think of him, possibly changing how he acts around people. He has hurt me before by acting like he cares, tells me im the only person he trusts but then acting as if I really dont mean that much to him.
So we were texting and I told him exactly how I felt (I mean, im never going to get another chance am I?) and he hasnt replied. What might he be feeling right now? And have I ruined our friendship forever before he leaves? I have no idea how to act around him tomorrow. Any ideas?

I am divorced for 6 years and now my ex is trying to get custody of our son. He has 3 jobs and has alot of money, Has a lawyer and also got one for my son. I am broke and cant afford a lawyer. all the legal assistants programs say they cant help in a custody case. Is there a way I can get my ex to pay for a lawyer for me cause he has one? a few people have told me this but I cant find anything about this ACT on the net.... any help would be great!

My friend asked me to come to karate with her so she wouldnt be alone so I went and didnt enjoy it at all. My friend really enjoyed it and I told my friend that I liked it and I would come next week but the truth is I really didnt want to. And today when she asked me if I would come to karate I said I would because I didn't know how to tell her that I didnt like it. When the time came I really didnt want to go so I thought about what to say when I rang her up because she told me to ring her up if I wasnt coming. I thought about for ages and finally decided to tell her the truth so I rang her but her dad picked up the phone and told me that she'd already left, I told him to tell her that I was going to quit karate and now I feel really bad and I think she'll hate me. I just don't know what to do I really wish I had rang earlier to tell her myself and now I feel really sick inside.
What do I tell her when I get to school tomorrow, I feel like I've let her down big time :(

How do the women deal with a very bad harsh breakup with someone that you have been with for almost 5 years. My ex and I dont deny that we love each other but it is impossible for us to be happy together. I am currently daiting this guy, and things are going really great. He says that there needs to be a common 'thing" that cupples have in order to sustain a healthy strong relationship. The thing is he is talking about actual activities, and we dont really have that. Okay so i just got out of this really serious relationship, and i was the one to end it. We didnt talk for 3 days, then we talked on the 3rd day. I told him i wanted him back, and he told me how he felt.. which was pretty much the same except he got into more detail. So then he tells me he has "some thinking to do". So i let him think about it. and then i talked to him on the 4th day of our breakup and things were TOTALLY turned around. on myspace he is commenting all these girls telling them how could they look and how they used to hangout all the time and how they havent seen eachother in forever. and then i confronted him about it. i said "do you feel comfortable and okay with telling these girls these things.?" he responded with "Yeah, i feel alright!" i said.. "You feel alright? as if you could look into their eyes feeling like you were looking into mine, or kiss them and feel like your kissing them?" and he didnt say anything
