I'm going on my 4th year and YIPEE i love it. I have my world and he has his - and yes we do get together a few times a year - we keep in touch via telephone, emails and 2-way radios. Definately makes me more sexually attracted to him, but i do miss him alot. But have to live like this for now. Absence does make the heart grow fonder and the sex animalistic!

They can work out but they take a lot of work and a lot of Communication with each other

No, even if you drive/fly frequently to see them, unless you started off living close, it can deffinately screw with the insecurities of you or your partner. They may last a while, but they VERY RARELY ever work out, we're talking 1-3 in 10,000 here.

It depends on the type of relationship you have. If you guys are honest, straight forward with eachother.. and really trust each other then yes. If things are rocky, you don't trust him/her.. then no they aren't. It's up to you guys to make it work so you can't really ask a question as vague as that one.
