My friend got married two months ago and now she wants a divorce ( i know its crazy) she has three kids that are not his and they dont have any assets.. he doesnt want custody of the kids

If it's uncontested, you don't even need a lawyer in MD. The filer will have to pay the court cost and those depend on what county you live in. Generally, around a couple hundred bucks.

In MD, 1 year separation is required before an absolute divorce can be granted. Things can move along quicker if there was adultery by either side. Most people in your friend's situation simply separate for 12 months and then file for absolute divorce.
If your friend is low income, the divorce may not cost her anything. She has to check with the Pro Se project in her county.
All she has to do is file the papers and serve a copy to her husband via sheriff, private service or even yourself (if you are 18 years or older). At the first hearing, either side can tell the judge that the divorce is uncontested and an uncontested divorce hearing will be scheduled (usually lasts 10 minutes). At that hearing, the judge may then issue the divorce decree provided that there are no complicating issues involved.

Under $200 if un- contested,if she goes and picks up the papers herself from the family court. Also if she doesn't have to pay to have him served.But they still have to be separated for a year before the divorce is final in the state of Maryland. If the only been married 2 months they might be able to get an annulment. Tell her to ask the family court office when she goes
