My boyfriend and I share the 24th of every month as an anniversary (in February it will be a year). However, this year will be our first Valentine's Day together and it makes me a little nervous because Valentine's Day is mine and my ex's former anniversary (my ex and I broke up in November of '05 after a 4 year relationship. A few months later he came out of the closet admitting he was gay). What can my boyfriend and I do to make a day I absolutely despise into what it's supposed to be?

Last week some friends of mine threw a party for their new apartment, but the neighbors didn't agree to let us play loud music. We tried and they said they'd call the cops.

So we turned the volume down, but since we were about 30 people, we could barely hear it.

Going somewhere else (i.e. in a club or sth) wasn't an option as the apartment was the reason we threw the party.

If anyone has some good ideas of a party without loud music, I'd really appreciate if you share them.

This happened some six years ago. I always ate over noon with this girl who was from the same rural area as me (we went to school in the bigger city). Her friend joined us regularly and one day she said she had feelings for me. Now of course I know what she meant, but back then I didn't. I was just seventeen-eighteen years old back then. So I told her I didn't understood and all that, and a little later she said those feelings were gone because she said she heard something about me (people thought i was racist back then, but they were wrong, I am a socialist and hate racists, but that's beside the point) but the only mutual friend we had was that girl we ate with. A little later I sent her friend an email stating I was looking for her (the one that had feelings for me) and I got a reply from her that she was felt good about me not having forgotten her, and she thought I'd never look for her that way and thought I'd forgot her. What would you've done when you had the chance ?

What are the practical (or legal?) steps one needs to follow before one can get married in the UK (both are residents of the EU)

Okay, so my new boyfriend is hot, good-looking, sweet, gentle and is very caring. i love him and he loves me too.
But we have problems having sex. it seems like we both don't get so high because he doesn't have quite a big penis. we try several position but it doesn't help enough. sometimes, we both hardly feel it. I don't blame him at all because the fact that i'm a single mom of one child. I gave birth before so mine isn't too tight as well. i know it.

ok, the preacher's wife is being really biased. she is literally trying to make her 2 daughters the center of attention, all of the time. i am not jealous, because there are others even adults who see it. and they agree with me. she only wants her daughters to have solos and be section leaders etc. and the daughter whine to her and get their way all of the time. even if it means hurting one of the church members. how do i address this problem that has been going on for so so long?

I haven't seen my guy for almost over a week, he I talked to him Saturday night and he was tired and gonna go to bed and he'd come see me Sunday eve, later that nite he texts me saying he's going out with the boys, (ok thats fine), so sunday comes along he calls me at in the eve. says he'd love to come see me but he's too tired from saturday and is gonna go to bed early....WTF??? he's not too tired to go out with his boys but he's too tired to come visit me.......so I let that pass, then he calls me last night at 5pm saying he wanted to come over, I said ok Im at my moms but I'll call you when I get home he said ok call me baby...so I text him around 8 that I was home.....he never called texted me back nothing......then I get a text from him this morning saying good morning baby....WTF?? what do you do with a sixteen year old who drinks. Probably every weekend. Not falling down drunk, unless he's really good at hiding it. It seems he only has a little. Most of the times it's not that evident, it's more instinct that proof. Though he does admit he drinks. He says "I've worked hard at school all week, I deserve a few on weekends" That rationalization has a ring of an alcholic.Is there any steps to stop this. Driving license is just around the conor. Alcohlics on both sides of the familys, much afraid this is the path he is heading for. His answer is he has it under control and will never become an alcohlic becase it is a choise not an addiction.

One minute my husband acts like he is so in love with me; very attentive and affectionate and then the next he acts like he doesn't want me to touch him etc. Sometimes it seems like he tries to abuse me by totally ignoring me for no reason. It used to be that women and gave to men and men gave to women but now it seems that women give out the freebies and the men don't do anything for them. They all expect sex early in a relationship (with no mention of getting married) but they don't want to pick you up from work, help you fix anything, or help you in hard times. They want the rights of a husband as far as having sex but do not want to do anything for you. This is expected in younger men because that is the way many of them have been raised but the older guys are acting that way too.
