Ok, that question sounds wrong, this question is not about choosing of whom to marry, but rather the practial side.

What are the practical (or legal?) steps one needs to follow before one can get married in the UK (both are residents of the EU)
I am sure, like everything else these days it involves filling in forms, any idea which?

contact church or registry office in the UK to arrange date for the wedding. they will then publish the banns(legal to see if you are married to anyone else and that nobody objects to your wedding)From there you will both need to provide your birth certificates and if you do not reside in the UK your passports. you will need 2 witness's as proof that you are legally married. of course don't forget that the bride is required to have a ring (groom optional) you may need to be in this country for 3 weeks before the wedding but i don't know if that is still a legal requirement.
Best of luck to you both

I knew what you meant from your question.
You may need to have blood tests for HIV, Rh factor compatibility, etc.
Go to City Hall and get a license.
Find a Justice of the Peace and make an appointment and get hitched.
Best Wishes.

Go to your local registry office. Make an appointment. Both of you need to go, fill in th forms, they then post your intent to marry. Then you have a year to actually get married.

Not 100% as i`ve never been married but i think you have to go to your registery office and have your banns called or something, not sure how much this costs.

Personally, I would go to the British Embassy in your country and ask for advice.
